Pentax K20D (body only)

By (cnet.com)

Impressive performance, 14 megapixels at a relatively low price; weather sealed; nice control layout; wireless flash control.

Slightly inaccurate colors; shake reduction could be more effective.

Pentax's 14MP K20D is a great choice for a midlevel SLR and offers a lot of bang for the buck.

Pentax K20D

By Philip Ryan (cnet.co.uk)

It's neither entry level nor professional dSLR, but the Pentax K20D sits comfortably in between the two categories. Boasting 14 megapixels and a load of excellent features, this shooter can run with the big boys while still being small enough to carry wit...

- Fast AF system - Accepts all Pentax lenses - Comfortable hand grip - PC sync socket - Water-resistant - Longer battery life

- Live view LCD blacks out when focusing - Grainy optical viewfinder - Lengthy, verbose menus - Confusing placement of features

The 14.6-megapixel Pentax K20D has a lot going for it. It has a water-resistant camera body that is durable and tightly sealed and is backwards compatible with Pentax lenses.

"I am a brand new convert to digital and using this camera has been as easy as falling off a log."

By nwlocalexposure (cnet.com)

The controls are intuitive and the buttons are placed well for tactical (as opposed to visual) reach and ergonomics.

I haven't found any yet, other than a numb thumb after shooting a wedding.
