Self setting clock was nice. VCR unit worked fine. DVD malefunctioned. Many features were clumsy to use.

VCR limits effectiveness of this unit

Great feature...record right from DVD to internal VCR Tape mechanism poor...would not pull lesser quality tapes

Don't Buy a Toshiba SD-V280A

When its working it's a pretty good DVD/Video machine. Unfortunately, that's not always the case. DVD's quirky problem made it unusable after 1 year.
