iDrive menus are confounding, with odd labels, and the disc changer uses a cartridge. The placement of the manual shift buttons doesn't work for sport driving, and mileage is very poor.
The 2008 BMW 750i is a big sport luxury sedan that is, in many ways, everything we would expect from BMW, but it suffers from some older technology that needs an update.

The stereo doesn't show ID3 tag information from MP3 tracks. Destination entry on the navigation system isn't as easy as it could be, and it doesn't default to a map display
The 2008 BMW 535i is a really exceptional car, offering a great driving experience and an impressive array of electronics in the cabin. From its shifter to its live traffic system, its innovative features should make any techie drool.

Engine pulls like a freight train ; optional sports suspension is highly tossable ; excellent fit and finish throughout
Lumpy clutch feel ; iDrive is annoyingly overkill without the navigation option ; exterior styling takes getting used to
The iDrive's LCD offers the only way to control the stereo--but not so for the climate control.
Performance of 2006 BMW 530iWe'd normally start this part of a CNET car review with the engine, but the clutch on our 2006 BMW 530i proved to be so annoying that it moved to the top of the page. Interestingly, the 2006 BMW 530i shares the same...
