The HTC Touch Cruise offers great navigation and ships with U.S. maps. The HTC Footprints application provides a nice way to record highlights of your trip. The Windows Mobile smartphone also features 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a 3.2-megapixel ...
The screen isn't the sharpest, and it washes out in bright sunlight. It's also a bit small for in-car navigation. The onscreen keyboard is cramped, and expandable memory is limited when using maps
The HTC Touch Cruise offers road warriors and travel lovers great navigation features in a compact smartphone; we just wish it had a better screen.
Well, HTC is taking the concept to another level with its HTC Touch Cruise series by shipping the smartphone with full navigation software and maps. The first model debuted back in November 2007, but in January 2009, the smartphone manufacturer...
The HTC Touch Cruise made its debut way back in November 2007, and unfortunately, it never found its way to the United States. However, being a glutton of punishment and out of pure curiosity, we got our hands on an unlocked version of the Windows ...
Since the smartphone came out before the HTC Touch Diamond, the Cruise uses the original TouchFLO interface found on the HTC Touch and the HTC Touch Dual, rather than the newer 3D interface of the Diamond. Belonging to the same family as the HTC...
The HTC Touch Cruise features integrated GPS and comes preloaded with TomTom navigation software. The Windows Mobile 6 smartphone also has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and 3G support
Though it includes TomTom software, you only get one city map for free ; you'll have to pay extra for other regions. We were slightly disappointed by the multimedia performance, and the smartphone is expensive
While the integrated GPS and TomTom navigation software makes the HTC Touch Cruise very enticing, there are some limitations, not to mention a high price tag that turned us off to the smartphone.
Since the smartphone came out before the HTC Touch Diamond, the Cruise uses the original TouchFLO interface found on the HTC Touch and the HTC Touch Dual, rather than the newer 3D interface of the Diamond. Belonging to the same family as the HTC...
Overview What's good: small and very pocketable, cool form factor, Footprints, 3.2 MP cam with geo-tagging, D-pad doubles as scroll wheel, TouchFLO, A-GPS, Wi-Fi, bluetooth, 3G.What's bad: Windows Mobile experience. TouchFLO helps a lot in this regard ...
Introduction The Touch Cruise 2009 is a reworking of the 2008 version. Nagging error messages and unintuitive configuration are some of my long-standing WinMo complaints, and the Touch Cruise is not exempt. However, if you're comfortable with...
An unlocked brother to the HTC Touch series phones, the HTC Touch Cruise ($550, unlocked, as of 4/9/2009) has an eye-catching look and a beautifully designed touch interface. But like the other HTC phones we've tested, the Cruise suffers from sluggish ...
Gorgeous touch interface Lightweight and slim design
Spotty call quality Performance sometimes sluggish
The HTC Cruise impresses with its gorgeous display and variety of multimedia features. But like other HTC Touch phones we've seen, the Cruise's touch interface gets is bogged down by Windows Mobile, which makes for a sometimes frustrating experience
The Touch Cruise sports the improved TouchFLO 3D interface, a simple HTC overlay that runs atop the Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard operating system. But like the other HTC phones we've tested, the Cruise suffers from sluggish performance--a common...
HTC has wowed us recently with top of the line offerings such as the Diamond and Touch HD, and smartphones are penetrating the consumer market at impressive rates. The reality is that not ......
Great form-factor, Excellent phone performance, Good GPS integration, Snappy, easy to use interface
Would have liked to see a VGA screen
There are a lot of things to like about this new Touch Cruise. It may not be the flashiest device HTC offers, but it more than makes up for it with solid all-around performance. The integration of GPS services is slick; TomTom is one of the best ...
The HTC Touch Cruise offers a great alternative for those who want to stand on the edge of popularity.
One of the most prolific makers of smartphones and PDAs, HTC, has been bringing out a slew of devices onto the Australian market. Today we will be reviewing the Touch Cruise which is a GSM phone (not suited, however, for the NextG network). One of ...
The Touch Cruise is HTC's latest release in the region and is more of a PDA than a smartphone, as is evident by the lack of a keypad.
Interface looks great and is intuitive to use, quick performer, good battery life, control wheel works well.
Lacks a flash for its camera, body retains fingerprints.
Overall a well-rounded device that suffers from only a few setbacks. Look past these however and you'll find the Touch Cruise intuitive to use and quite well stacked in terms of features. It's not too shabby on the performance front either.
Touch Cruise? you?d expect the HTC to be smooth and easy-to-use and on both counts, the HTC delivers. The Touch Cruise is HTC?s latest release in the region and is more of a PDA than a smartphone, as is evident by the lack of a keypad. Look past...
