The LG KP500 "Cookie" is a full touchscreen device with a finger user interface and a price tag that won't ruin your budget. It features a 3 megapixel camera and a slick UI. Russell gives us his thoughts on it in this review.
The LG KP500 Cookie is a great device for those who want the appeal of an iPhone for a fraction of the cost.
The LG KP500 Cookie is a new device boasting to be the UK's cheapest touchscreen handset. With a large 3" screen and a 3 megapixel camera, the KP500 should be a tempting proposition to anyone that wants a more affordable alternative to the iPhone....
We had the cheaper edition of the top 8 megpaixel LG phone for testing.
Of course some of the functions are victims of cost reduction, so we can say bye-bye to 3G support, the camera is much simpler and the materials used are also cheaper. That's what we have to give up to have an estimated price of 140-175 euros for KP500.
KP500 is the little brother of this model, the design and the menu system structure are quite similar. [+]The great difference is that KP500 is a much cheaper handset; LG has much experience in this area, as Viewty, Prada or Secret have been based...
It almost feels unfair of LG to give the KP500 a name that's so hard to say no to. The Cookie scent seems to have inspired a craving already and LG are hoping to have you coming back for more. A genuinely affordable touchscreen, a very decent specs ...
3" 256K-color TFT touchscreen (240 x 400 pixels) ; Quad-band GSM support ; 3 megapixel fixed focus camera ; Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP ; 50MB internal memory ; Hot-swappable microSD card slot (supporting card with capacity of up to 16GB) ; Accelerometer ...
No 3G support ; No Wi-Fi ; Video recording no good at QVGA@12fps ; Camera has no auto focus and flash ; No DivX/Xvid support ; No standard 3.5mm audio jack
The LG KP500 Cookie seems to have every reason to chill out and cash in on the kept promise of making touch-operated phones so sweetly inexpensive. Available for a mere 200 euro (contract-free) it might enjoy a decent run, pretty much owning the lower ...

A slimline, eye-catching touch-screen device with an appealing price tag.
A slimline, eye-catching touch-screen device with an appealing price tag.
Its slack of features, include no 3G, HSDPA or 3.5mm headset port, may ultimately put some people off.
If you are looking for a stylish yet affordable handset, then the LG Cookie could be for you. Just don't expect all the trimmings to boot
Ever since the mainstreaming of touchscreen phones (thanks to Apple's brilliant move with the iPhone), there has been waves of other touchscreen phones from all sides, and LG is no exception. LG didn't have that much of a name in the mobile phone ...

The KP500 is LG's most affordable and attractive touchscreen phone yet. Its relatively cheap price, however, means the KP500 comes with fewer features than its higher-end rivals. While the KP500 can handle the basics, those seeking an iPhone killer ...
Slim design ; good photo viewer
Lack of 3G ; lack of 3.5mm headphone jack
If you're on a tight budget and you love the idea of having a touchscreen phone, the LG Cookie KP500 is definitely an option. Having spent some quality time with it, our only concern is it doesn't offer enough features that stand out from the crowd. ...
Making sure that everyone gets a chance to buy a touchscreen phone, LG has come up with the sub-£100 KP500 Cookie. ConclusionThe LG Cookie KP500 had us torn because, on the one hand, it's an affordable touchscreen phone that works well for the...
"Me want Cookie!"
Budget touchscreen handset in a slim shell
Not as fully-featured as the Renoir, but a fraction of the price
The LG Cookie is a cheap man's KC910 Renoir. It may be purse-string friendly, but that doesn't mean it's basic
At the bottom of the pile though, is the LG KP500, dubbed the "Cookie": a handset with a camera that might not put your compact to shame, but will make your pocket feel satisfyingly heavy. Naturally for LG handsets, this port is also for the...

Lack of 3G ; lack of 3.5mm headphone jack
Pitched as LG's most affordable touchscreen phone yet, the KP500 is also one of its most attractive. A slim, matte black casing houses a large touchscreen and a discreet 3-megapixel camera, on the back. It's understated and smart-looking--more VW than ...
LG certainly has a knack for bizarre names when it comes to mobile phones. We don't know why the KP500 is also called the Cookie, and can't begin to hazard a guess. But maybe that's not ...
The LG Cookie is a touchscreen mobile phone without a premium price tag. It looks good and has some clever features, but an average camera, lack of 3G and shortage of internal memory are among the let-downs.
