Review: Motorola E398

By Michael Oryl (editor)

Well, I finally sat down and wrote the E398 review. Why the delay? Well, I was just too darn busy using the thing. It was love at first sight, and the E398 has been an absolute dream over the past few weeks. Find out why in our full review.

Motorola E398 I first played with a Motorola E398 quite a few months ago. Motorola had supplied me with a prototype to mess around with. The PackageThe E398 is a bit larger than other phones in its class, assuming that you consider phones such as...

Motorola E398 review: A small stereo jukebox

By Jaroslav Snášel

Motorola E398 phone freely follows all company's previous V-models but the construction is classic and besides other functions it comes up with a revolutionary feature: it has two speakers and can play MP3 loud and in stereo.

With its dimensions of 108 x 46 x 21 mm Motorola E398 belongs to mid big handsets. The construction is classic, with a keypad on the front. The front side is dominated by the active colour display, which sizes respectively are 30 x 37 mm. It features ...

Motorola E398

By Mobile Gazette

The E398 is certainly an entertaining phone, even though it's maybe not the most innovate thing you'll ever see.

Motorola E398 review

Makes the best sound with your ringtones

Joystick which we found difficult to control

If ringtones are the DNA on your phone then the E398 makes the most of them. The stereo speakers effectively double the sound that comes out of this phone. The downside of playing music a lot is not much memory space: files designed for downloading ...

Motorola's claim that the E398 is loud compared to other phones is justified but we did wonder when a loud phone would come in handy: maybe as a tiny alternative to a boombox for a few friends meeting for lunch in the park? If it is the sound of...

Motorola E398 Review

By Azda

Ok let's put this one straight, the Motorola E398 defiantly has the new WOW factor in up-to-date mobile phone technology, I wasn't entirely sure that I wanted a new phone as I still own the E700 but I wanted to go for something with a WOW factor. I ...

Overall I rate the Motorola 10/10 for everything mentioned in my review it is really an excellent mobile to have and I think it will meet all users needs except from the lack of IRDA and I really think it is a mobile worth buying, Motorola have ...

Motorola E398

By Simon Siah

The Motorola E398 with its host of features is well-suited for sophisticated mobile users while its smart outlook will appeal to executives.

Attractively designed with an understated style ; bright 65K screen ; 3D stereo sound ; VGA camera with photo light ; external storage ; good battery life

Jerky video playback ; no video recording ; no FM radio

As other manufacturers continue to fight the pixel war with megapixel camera-phones, Motorola decides to differentiate itself by taking a different route with its latest offering, the E398 MP3-phone. The designers at Motorola must have been hard...

Motorola E398 Review - Mobile Phones

By Zennith Geisler

Motorola's music mobile combines a full-featured handset that will appeal to a wide range of users whether they're looking for fun, functionality or the perfect mixture of both.

Simple, stylish design, Large, bright screen, Stereo sound for MP3s, VGA camera with flash, Expandable memory

No video recording function, No FM radio, Joystick can be fiddly

Design Measuring a relatively small 108 x 46 x 20.5mm, the Motorola E398 brings to the table a large 65K-colour screen and roomy keypad, equally balanced on the face of the phone. Features The main highlight of the Motorola E398 is of course, its...

Motorola E398

Motorola have really done well and the E398 does perform in all aspects of my review except for a few small problems which people can get used to over time. Plus, the fun and functional features overtake any problems.

Battery life I was very pleased with the battery life of the Motorola E398 after using the Motorola MPx200 which was very disappointing. American based company Motorola occasionally release a mobile phone which blows everyone's socks off - and the...
