Motorola ROKR E6

By Alex Kidman

3.5mm audio jack, Good dual purpose visual design

No Wi-Fi, No 3G/HSDPA, Sluggish phone operation

The E6 tries valiantly to be a smartphone and a sexy consumer gadget. It's a pity then, that it didn't try that little bit harder.

Design Motorola's taken something of an each-way bet with the MOTOROKR E6. On the other hand, the E6 is also pitched as an multimedia entertainment phone, which usually puts paid to dull grey plastic utilitarianism. It's a difficult balancing act,...

By Damian Koh

Overall, the Motorola ROKR E6 is a decent multimedia phone but it lacks the extra oomph to set it apart from its Symbian and Windows Mobile smart phone competitors.

Secure Digital card slot ; 3.5mm audio jack ; good build quality ; doubles as Webcam ; supports A2DP profile

Slightly bulky ; poorly located music controls ; no onboard document editing applications ; lack of hardware keypad can be a tad inconvenient at times

Unveiled at the ITU Telecom World in December 2006, the ROKR E6 is not like the musically talented ROKR E1 and E2 that came before it. Design The all-black chassis of the Motorola ROKR E6 reminds us of the classic RAZR lineup with laser-etched...
