Nokia N79 (unlocked)

The Nokia N79 offers a slim and attractive design and packs in a load of multimedia features, including a 5-megapixel camera that takes excellent photos. The Symbian smartphone also features integrated Wi-Fi, U.S. 3G support, Bluetooth, and GPS.

The N79's navigation controls and dialpad are a little cramped, and call quality was a bit mixed.

The Nokia N79 might not be the star of the N series devices, but it still shines as a great multimedia smartphone with plenty of features and fast performance.

Nokia N79 Editors' note: Portions of the Features section were taken from our review of the Nokia N96, since both smartphones share a number of similar features. The Nokia N79 might get overshadowed by some of its flashier N series siblings like...

Nokia N79 Review

By PhoneArena Team

The Nokia N79 is another featured packed device in Nokia's N-Range branded handsets. At a glace physically, there won't appear to be much difference between this device to say the Nokia N78 or ......

Host of connectivity options, Good battery life, FM Transmitter

Smaller screen compared to some other phones, 5MP camera not the best in the market

In conclusion the N79 is a strong ‘all round' handset. Although not innovative in design , it does sport the ‘intelligent' changeable back covers which changes the phone's theme, something that is unique in its own right. In addition to this, it does ...

Nokia N79 review: Swiss Army knife

By GSMArena team

Nseries keep on throwing heavy-spec'd phones at us and there's no question they're hitting their best form in quite a while. About time we got less of a curve ball lookswise, Nokia N79 embodies a new approach to Nseries styling...

2.4" 16M-color LCD TFT display of QVGA resolution ; 5 megapixel autofocus camera with dual-LED flash and AF assist light ; VGA video recording at 30fps ; Symbian OS 9.3 with S60 3.2 UI ; ARM 11 369 MHz CPU ; 3G with HSDPA support ; Quad-band GSM ...

No smart dialing ; Doesn't charge off USB ; No office document editing out of the box ; Not the best camera performance ; Zooming in on a photo takes ages ; No dedicated 3D graphics accelerator ; The GPS performance is not the best among Nseries

Nokia N79 is certainly one of the best equipped bars on the market. In fact there is very little (and certainly not too important) features that the phone lacks. The best part is it excuses itself from the company of most recent Nseries devices and ...

Nokia N79 - knowledge is almost changeable - MobileArsenal Smartphone review

By Bog

If N78 is too menacing, 6220 Classic is too ugly and N82 has too rice-like keys, than here's N79. With bonus covers, yeeeah!

We don't have to be worried about Nokia. E and N series phones are quite good nowadays, they had only one boner recently, and this has been N96. The guys at XXL GSM have told us (this is where we have the phone from) that N79 and N85 have extremely ...

So it's:Nokia N79BogTranslated by Szaszati Nokia N79 has been provided byXXL GSM. A 100% winner of the "where the hell did they put the memory card" competition is N79 with the elegant solution that Nokia has placed the memory card slot and the...
