Nokia N80

By Ross Catanzariti

Native Wi-Fi, Display, 3 megapixel camera, Connectivity and PIM functions

Sliding mechanism, No autofocus with camera, Poor battery life

If you are looking for a smart phone, but prefer its size to be in line with a regular mobile, then you can't go past the N80. It offers a number of excellent features packaged in a sleek design and is only let down by a poor battery life.

The N80 is the latest release in Nokia's N Series range of multimedia phones. A fully fledged smart phone running the Symbian S60 operating system, the N80 is packed with features including a 3-megapixel CMOS camera, native Wi-Fi and a brilliant...

Nokia N80 Review - Mobile Phones

This feature-packed 3G phone with a 3-megapixel camera mostly excels, but is held back slightly by a maddening navigation key and short battery life.

Sharp camera with plenty of image capture options, Fabulous Web browser, High-res screen is lovely to look at, Integrates wirelessly with home theatre set-up

Irritating main navigation key, Battery life isn't great, High cash outlay, Chunky

A wealth of cool multimedia features including UPnP and a 3-megapixel camera make this model impressive. The only downers are in the button design and battery life.

Design After years spent resisting the slider design, Nokia has released three slider phones in 2006, with the N80 joining the 6280 and 6111. Nokia has also packed a bunch of PIM (personal information manager) functionality into the N80, with apps...

Nokia N80

By David Hall

The Nokia N80 has been long awaited since it was announced at the Nokia Mobility Conference in November 2005. Almost 9 months later the first handset in the world with integrated UPnP technology has made it to the Australian shores.

The Nokia N80 runs the familiar Symbian OS v9.1 on the Nokia Series 60 (3rd edition) platform. This combination can be found in many high-end Nokia phones so if you're upgrading from a similar range handset from Nokia to the N80, the interface is...

Nokia N80

By Sandra Vogel, CNET.co.uk

Nokia's N80 has a neat design, is packed with features and is a great all-rounder, but it does have its faults, such as a shortage of built-in memory, lack of autofocus for the camera and lack of slider grip.

Small, squat hardware ; good camera controls ; front camera for 3G calls ; hot swappable memory cards ; good screen

Short on built-in memory ; no autofocus for camera ; slider is not spring loaded and has no convenient grip

Nokia's N-series has turned heads since it first appeared, and with the N80 that trend looks set to continue--this is a very desirable handset indeed. The Nokia N80 is currently available for S$838 (US$551.32) with a two-year mobile contract....
