The pics are the best we've ever seen from a camera phone. Nokia's N82 springs to the top of our "phones that will replace your camera" list.
The front face features a camera for video calls at the top with a typical 2.4" QVGA screen in the middle, then operational and alpha-numeric keypad at the bottom. While the navigation keys are well designed, we weren't fond of the tiny keypad buttons ...
THE N82 is a solid handset with many features but is let down by a tiny keypad and all-plastic design.
5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, GPS, HSDPA-capable, Wi-Fi, speedy user interface, TV-out cable
Small controls and keypad, turn-by-turn navigation costs extra, questionable design
Despite the N82's tiny keypad and questionable all-plastic design, it remains a solid handset boasting a long list of features.
The N82 includes a built-in GPS receiver along with the latest version of Nokia Maps. The user experience of the GPS function on the N82 is similar to other Nokia handsets. The N82 also provides access to a preview application of Nokia's N-Gage...
Nokia NSeries phones are designed to be the very best available, bringing high end features together in a high quality mobile product. Nokia think so highly of the NSeries range they longer refer to them just as mobile phones, but as ‘Multimedia ...
Award: TIPA Award!

A great camera and a great phone overall
Good 5MP camera with Xenon flash, lightweight, large screen, good battery life, A-GPS Nokia Maps
Poor alphanumeric keypad, bulky
A commendable job! After the many tries at perfecting a camera phone, this one is the best Nokia has managed, and it does well to take it right up to the camera phone king Sony Ericsson. The Carl Zeiss optics with auto-focus does very well indeed. The ...
The Nokia N82 is a candy bar version of the N95 and contains a similar array of powerful features, including a 5MP camera, A-GPS receiver and a TV-Out function - ...
Whilst on paper the N82 sounds great and to a certain degree it is, the design of the N82 and its battery life are the biggest let downs and if we were to choose between this or the N95 GB it would be the latter that gets our vote.

If you like your mobiles in classic candybar flavour, Nokia's N82 could be the smartphone you've been waiting for. With a 5-megapixel camera, this Symbian S60 device is Nokia's most sophisticated candybar-style mobile to hit the market.
Wi-Fi and 3G HSDPA connectivity, A-GPS with supplied sat nav software, 5-megapixel camera, Extensive multimedia functionality, Auto screen rotation technology
Too Large, Tiny numberpad keys, Feels cheap, No optical zoom, No dedicated music player controls
The somewhat cheap look of the phone is in stark contrast to the wealth of features on offer here, with its great connectivity and multimedia spec
The plastic materials used in the N82â-'s casing help account for the well-balanced handling
