The Samsung Innov8 is a well-made and powerful cell phone with a fantastic camera. Photo quality was excellent and the call quality delivered as well.
The Samsung Innov8 keypad and navigation controls are slick and not very tactile. The camera flash is disappointing, and the interface was somewhat poky.
If you want a camera phone that will blow almost every other handset out of the water, look no further than the Samsung Innov8. Design complaints aside, it's a powerful and eye-catching device that performs well as a phone, too.
So count us surprised and excited when Samsung graciously decided to send us a review model of its new 8-megapixel camera phone, the Samsung Innov8. Yet, as powerful as it is, the Innov8's photo quality is only marginally better than those...
The pricey Samsung Innov8 ($930, unlocked; as of 4/7/2009) innovates in several ways--most notably with its 8-megapixel camera; carrying the highest resolution among phones sold to date in the United States, the Innov8 offers advanced in-camera photo ...
Excellent 8-megapixel camera Intuitive interface
Call quality was mediocre Phone on the heavy side
Since the Innov8 debuted, Samsung has released the Memoir, which also has an 8-megapixel camera and is offered at a subsidized price through T-Mobile. The Memoir boasts similar camera features as the Innov8, but with one notable upgrade: a Xenon flash ...
Since the Innov8 debuted, Samsung has released the Memoir, which also has an 8-megapixel camera and is offered at a subsidized price through T-Mobile. The Innov8's design and ergonomics resemble that of a stand-alone camera. As on the Samsung...
Comedian Louis C.K. was spot on when he mused how everything is so amazing and nobody is happy. Take a moment to consider the i8510, one of Samsung's latest 8-megapixel smartphones.
Beaucoup codecs, including - wait for it - DivX! 2.8-inch screen excellent for playback. Intuitive photo/video editing suite. Equally-intuitive navigation. Automatic lens cover. microSD slot good for 16GB (enough for aspiring Scorseses to go epic). ...
Side-mounted headphone jack makes phone harder to pocket. Optical control pad is a tad sensitive (between us and you - we don't want to hurt its feelings). Most bogus: Metal shell retains enough scratches to fill a DJ Shadow album. A little on the ...
Samsung has unleashed a camera phone that's almost more camera than phone. Check out our spot on the i8510 INNOV8.
Award: Editor's Choice!

This 8-megapixel camera phone offers multimedia perks galore, but you'll pay a pretty penny.
Sharp 8-megapixel camera, Impressive low-light performance, Good call quality, Long battery life
No 3G or GPS in the U.S., Large and heavy
Turning off the phone requires holding down the end button, after which you have to select Switch Off from an on-screen menu that appears, an extra step that seemed a nuisance.
The Samsung Innov8 i8510, a hefty and feature-packed slider available unlocked in the U.S., is superlative in more ways than one. At 4.2 x 2.1 x 0.7 inches and 3.2 ounces, the i8510 could pass for a dedicated camera in a blind test. The front face...
Not known for S60 smartphones, Samsung appears to have hit one out of the park with the new i8510 INNOV8, an 8 megapixel cameraphone with 16GB of internal storage, GPS, and more. Get the details in our review.
While we are just now receiving our N96 review units, at this moment it is hard to imagine how the Nokia N96 is going to top what Samsung has done with the i8510 INNOV8.
Things are different now, though, and Samsung's new 8 megapixel camera equipped i8510 INNOV8 is ready to make a big splash. Physical AspectsIn terms of basic design, the Samsung i8510 INNOV8 will feel familiar to anyone that has used a Nokia N95...

Competitor of N96 from Samsung with an 8 megapixel camera and all kinds of goodies.
I would also like to attract attention to the fact that the phone I have is still not the final version, at least a software update is expected, but according to Samsung the device in a state when it can be reviewed. Unfortunately the box, due to the ...
The second member of this duo is the subject of our current review, the smartphone called i8510, or Innov8 as known to many. It would be hard to tell of the part surrounding the front if its metal or plastic with lacquer, but the point is that it...
The eight-megapixel camera has set the benchmark for all future camera phones.
The eight-megapixel camera has set the benchmark for all future camera phones.
It's on the bulky side and strikes an uncanny resemblance to the Nokia N95.
This Symbian S60 device is packed with features. The excellent eight-megapixel camera will take the headlines but the Samsung i8510 offers much more than just that
Three of the year's biggest (and most expensive) releases should be coming to a store near you soon: the Samsung i8510 Innov8, Nokia N96 and Sony Ericsson Xperia X1.
