Design is clearly the focus on the W890i and it's where this Walkman truly shines. At the same time, we can't deny that the W890i is also a solid handset. If you can live with its mediocre camera, this Walkman phone is a keeper.
Chic and slim design ; brushed metal finish ; improved usability ; bundled with 2GB Memory Stick Micro M2 ; 3.5mm adapter accessory ; HSDPA ; Bluetooth stereo
Proprietary connector port on the left edge ; M2 card slot behind battery cover ; mediocre camera features
We like the snappy feel of the keypad
The Sony Ericsson W890i is a quad band phone that also operates on a 3G network via HSDPA 2100. Its dimensions are 104x46.5x9.9mm and it weighs 78g. It comes in several different colours including Espresso Black and Sparkling Silver. It has 3.15MP ...
Sony Ericsson doesn't always get its handset design right, and this is particularly the case when it comes to the number pad buttons. Often in the past we've found these buttons to be too small for ...
There are plenty of features in this mobile phone, but what really makes it stand out is the superb design. Small and shiny, it is light and usable. If you don't need a sophisticated camera in your phone it could be ideal.
Sony Ericsson - W890i features - VerdictThere are plenty of features in this mobile phone, but what really makes it stand out is the superb design. If there is a design let-down it is the Sony Ericsson proprietary headset connector. But here, in...
The latest addition to the popular Sony Ericsson Walkman range, but will the W890i prove to be a cut above the rest, or just another music phone?…
As has become expected from the Walkman range, the music features are excellent, but it ; s the ultra-fast HSDPA that really sets the W890i apart
The Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot range provides much better cameras
Sony Ericsson has improved an already excellent handset. It really is hard to fault the W890i, from its über-slim design, cracking internet capabilities, Google Maps and of course the built-in music player. A truly accomplished handset.
Sandra thinks it's one of the best Sony Ericsson phones to sport the Walkman brand. Find out why.
This is probably the best handset I've seen in Sony Ericsson's Walkman range. I'd like a bigger screen now that 3.5G web browsing is a reality, but I don't want the buttons compromised to get it. And on the camera front - well, maybe it is time for ...
The W890i is another of Sony Ericsson's Walkman branded handsets and it's a testament to the sheer number of mobiles coming along for review at the moment that it didn't push its way to the front of the queue when it arrived in my hands. Something...
A winner of a phone -- period!
Walkman 3.0 application, good sound quality, 3.2MP camera, smooth interface, 2GB M2, FM tuner (RDS), well-priced
Takes some time getting used to its slimness, No flash LED for camera
I would still go for W910 for its large 2.4 inch display and has more style factor then this one. the cam of this one falls on same line with w910
Sony Ericsson has managed to refine what was already an attractive and well-regarded phone
Excellent Walkman music player ; 3G HSDPA connectivity ; 3.2-megapixel camera ; Slim, attractive design
No Wi-Fi ; No flash or autofocus for camera ; No smartphone capability ; Poor loudspeaker quality
There's no doubt that Sony Ericsson has created a cracking handset that's sure to be a star performer in its Walkman range
Sony Ericsson has loaded up the Sony Ericsson W890i with the latest Walkman 3.0 software, and supplies the phone with a 2GB Memory Stick Micro (M2) card in-box. A more practical mobile phonePleasingly, Sony Ericsson has reworked the Sony Ericsson...
Slipping the stylishly slim W890i music mobile phone into its Walkman phone line-up, Sony Ericsson is aiming to repeat the W880i's feat of combining classy minimalist design with crowd-pleasing functionality
Excellent Walkman music player, 3G HSDPA connectivity, 3.2-megapixel camera, Slim, attractive design
No Wi-Fi, No flash or autofocus for camera, No smartphone capability, Poor loudspeaker quality
Some brilliant features, yet another stunning Walkman phone from Sony Ericsson's Walkman
Award: Editor's Choice!
sony ericsson w890i review: The sleeker user interface, improved keypad and HSDPA make the W890i more attractive than its predecessor, the W880i.
Beautifully designed, Excellent music player, RSS feeds ticker, 2GB bundled memory
Headphone port on side of phone, Keypad still quite small, Poor quality camera
If you like the W880i, you'll love this newer model. The larger keypad and 2GB memory make this slimline Walkman phone a real winner.
Performance Sony Ericsson has set a high standard with its Walkman branded line. Design They don't come much slimmer, or indeed, much sexier than the W890i. Adding a millimetre in depth to the W880i, the W890i clocks in at a very pocket-friendly...
Build quality, superb design, HSDPA-capable, 2GB Memory Stick Micro (M2), A2DP Bluetooth, TrackID, SensME
3.2-megapixel camera lacks flash and autofocus
A stylish, classy exterior with excellent build quality, just 10mm thin and boasting an superior keypad and controls despite its compact size. Add HSDPA support and an excellent user interface to the mix and the W890i is almost perfect.
A slight upgrade to the popular W880i, Sony Ericsson's latest Walkman phone corrects some of the issues of its excellent, but not perfect predecessor. Sony Ericsson has also added answer and end call keys, in addition to the five-way navigational...
