Sony Ericsson Z750a (rose pink) review

By Kent German

The Sony Ericsson Z750a is successful on many fronts, but its plastic shell and slow interface were worrisome.

The Sony Ericsson Z750a had an enjoyable feature set, user-friendly controls, a brilliant display, and satisfying call quality.

The Sony Ericsson Z750a's construction felt a tad cheap, and its external display wasn't very useful. Also, its interface was somewhat slow, and its speakerphone underperformed.

The Z750a's external display is similar to the Z310a's. Though it's invisible when the backlighting is off, a quick flick of the left spine volume rocker makes it appear in the center of the front face. It's a unique touch, particularly since the ...

Sony Ericsson Z750 multimedia phone review

By Philip Berne

We check our look in Sony Ericsson's reflective new 3G phone for AT&T.

Great music player. Good call quality with top-ranking battery life for long calls. Polished interface.

We've seen better looking Sony Ericsson phones (like, all of them). Low-end Web browser and video experience. Barely makes use of 3G functions.

The Sony Ericsson Z750: Design - Mediocre Sony Ericsson makes very pretty phones. Overall, though, once we got passed the external shell, the phone's interface made us remember why we enjoy the rare opportunity we get to review a Sony Ericsson...

Review: Sony Ericsson Z750

By Eric M. Zeman

The Z750a is Sony Ericsson's first 3G phone for the U.S. While it may be a little short on style, it is long on useful features. Check it out. With video tour.

Sony Ericsson Z750a (AT&T)

By Sascha Segan

The 3G Sony Ericsson Z750a is an absolute blockbuster of a value. For as low as $50 after rebates, you get a multimedia fashion phone with a high-speed modem that genuinely syncs with your PC in ways that many other devices struggle to accomplish.

Excellent PC syncing software for PIM, media, and modem use. Big keys. Full Web browser. Robust Bluetooth audio support.

Earpiece and speakerphone are somewhat quiet. No voice dialing. USB cable not included.

The Sony Ericsson Z750a is a terrific handset for those who don't quite need the full power of a smartphone. And it's cute, too.

The Z750a works best in cooperation with a PC, thanks to Sony Ericsson's suite of Windows software. The Z750a also syncs music with Windows Media Player 11, and Sony Ericsson offers a free program that lets you subscribe to and sync podcasts to...

Review: Sony Ericsson Z750

By Michael Oryl (editor)

Sony Ericsson's Z750 may look like the company's Z610 clamshell, but the Z750 sports a number of upgrades, including tri-band UMTS/HSDPA and quad-band GSM/EDGE support. We take this fashion handset our for a test in our hands-on review.

Attractive, great keypad, good connectivity options

Low resolution video capture, somewhat bulky

Sony Ericsson's Z750 is by no means the smallest or thinnest folder handset on the market, but it does have a very distinct look and a pretty impressive array of business type features for what is basically a fashion phone.

While it looks very much like the mirror finished Z610 that was announced a little over a year ago, the Sony Ericsson Z750 offers a number of improvements that make the device viable to far more people than the original. The Z750 we tested for...
