The saying that good things come in small packages doesn't always hold true (Sony Rolly anyone?), but it certainly does in the case of the Pentax Optio M50 ($229.95 list). Loaded with features like face detection and digital shake reduction, this well-rou...
Very compact. Fast performance. Face detection works well. Simple, easy-to-navigate interface.
Light on manual features. Smile capture works less than half the time. Flash images are inconsistent.
The Pentax Optio M50 combines overall better-than-average performance with a host of fun features at a great price. But this solid camera is light on manual controls, making it better suited for novices than serious photographers.

Lightweight, compact and stylish with a host of new features that will appeal to those who like to simplify their photography, while still maintaining a range of functions, the Optio M50 is bound to find a keen fan base.
The Optio M50 is a classic example as it comes in six chic and fetching colours - cool Black, sleek Silver, cheery Light Blue, smart Dark Blue and ultra girly Rose and Pink - and weighs such an amazingly light 115g that it can be dropped into a......
The Pentax Optio M50 is an 8 megapixel point and shoot digital camera with a 5x optical zoom lens and 2.5 inch LCD screen. The M50 features face recognition technology (exposure and focus based), 'auto picture' mode which picks the best shooting mode for...
The fact that the M50 self-discipline in the handling passable earns 5 points, owes it to a definable button, which is a frequently used parameters show. On the other hand, displays a histogram, and the Dru
