Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T90

By David Elrich

We love running around during the summer - the beach, ball games, family gatherings, eating out - the usual stuff. In the heat, however, it's no fun lugging around...

Ultra portable ; 3-inch touchscreen LCD ; quality 12-megapixel images ; decent 720P video

Small size could be a detriment ; no aperture or shutter speed adjustments ; optional cable required for HD video ; relatively expensive

Sony Cyber-Shot T90

By Brad Soo

Hot on the heels of the Sony T77 and T700 pair of 2008 is the brand new Sony Cyber-shot T90. Packing 12 megapixels and a 4X optical zoom lens in its thin shell (less than an inch thick), the Sony Cyber-shot T90 is one of the slimmest cameras in the ...

Image quality is JUST usable, up till ISO 400 ; Slimmest camera on the market; packs a 4X zoom lens with image stabilization ; 3 inch touchscreen LCD (though it has some issues) ; Quick performance ; Elaborate face/smile detection system, redeye ...

Over-processed photos and strong noise reduction (complete with softness and artifacts) ; No manual controls; lacks slow shutter for night shots ; Slow burst mode ; Poor ergonomics; LCD attracts fingerprints, not much space to hold the camera, tiny ...

Still believing that ‘thin is still in', the Cyber-shot T90 is an ultra-compact which is no more than two thirds of an inch thick. Launched together with the T900 (which I reviewed a while back), the Cyber-shot T90 is essentially a slightly smaller, ...

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T90

By PJ Jacobowitz

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T90 ($299.99 direct) continues the trend of widescreen displays elbowing traditional 4:3s aside. After all, the wider 16:9 aspect ratio has become common with laptop screens, monitors, and (of course) HDTVsshouldn't we be ...

Good image quality. Large, wide, and responsive touch screen. Records 720p high-def video. Wide selection of shooting and editing features. Fast start-up and recycle times

Poor battery life. Soft images in bright conditions. Proprietary USB connection

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T90 is the least-expensive touch-screen camera on the market. If it weren't for a couple annoying flaws, though, it would be perfect.

All told, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T90 is a well-rounded choice. For another $50, you can step up to the Sony Cyber-shot T900, which offers a 3.5-inch touch screen with a whopping 921,600 pixels for extremely sharp picture viewing. (The T90's...

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T90 Review

By Mike Perlman

Digital imaging has never looked so hot in a pretty pink dress. A very girly Cyber-shot compact has hit the runway! Read the full Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T90 review here.

Sexy looks. Great Auto controls. Super compact

Sad image quality. Testy interface. Limited advanced features

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T90 is the cheaper alternative to the Cyber-shot DSC-T900, sporting a smaller touch-screen LCD and minute zoom tab toggle, which we found to be less than adequate in the real estate department. Sony's classic sliding faceplate ...

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T90 digital camera

By Gavin Stoker

Do good things come in small packages?

Solid feel build, small form factor, large-ish LCD, HD movies

Video isn't full HD, no HDMI out, screen can get confusingly packed out with info at times

Though priced at a premium, for those who value both style and substance the T90 makes for a happy compromise, if no great advancement from previous Cyber-shots

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T90

By Alexandra Savvides

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T90 review: Looking for a touchscreen camera? The T90 should be on your list as it packs a heck of a lot of features into a pretty stylish case.

Small and stylish • Nice, consistent images if a little temperamental in studio situations • HD video • Optical zoom works while filming

Slippery to hold without wrist strap attached • Fingers can obscure the lens if you hold the camera incorrectly • Touchscreen is a little fidgety at times • No wide-angle optics

Image qualityThe image quality from Sony's previous iterations of Cyber-shot cameras hasn't been as good as we would have expected from such fully featured pocket rockets, so we're pleased to report that the T90 improves a lot upon the pictures...

Available in blue, pink, silver, black and brown, Sony's Cyber-shot DSC-T90 is the latest in a series of slim, stylish digicams designed for snapshooters. Equipped with a 12.1-megapixel CCD sensor and Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 4x optical zoom lens, its ...

Still pictures taken with the test camera were bright and colourful, although out-of-the-camera images were slightly soft. This could have been due to Sony's new Clear RAW NR noise reduction system and the tendency of the camera to keep the ISO below ...

Colour options for the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T90. (Source: Sony.) The T90's metal body is typical of the T-series and solidly made with a slide-down lens cover that doubles as an on/off switch. Front view of the Cyber-shot DSC-T90 in brown with the...

Sony DSC-T90

Useful touch screen, good optical zoom and image stabilisation

Expensive, menus can be confusing

We were pleasantly surprised by the image quality of the Sony DSC-T90 digital camera, with its thin body hiding a competent lens and sensor. It has a few novelty features, like a touch screen and high-definition movie recording, and the design makes ...

The Sony DSC-T90 is a 12.1 megapixel ultra-compact digital camera with a 4x optical zoom lens and a large, 3in touch-screen LCD. The Sony DSC-T90 is one of the slimmest cameras on the market today, with a body that's just 15mm thick. The Sony...
