Popcorn Hour A-100 Media Streamer

Economical and featured-filled media streamer has a relatively rudimentary interface.

Very good playback quality. Low cost ; Broad media format support

Cursory documentation ; Immature and limited interface

If you can live with its interface limitations, Popcorn Hour delivers more media for your money than any other streamer

Popcorn Hour's claim to fame is that it has the widest format and source support we've seen in any media streamer, and it includes popular video and photo sites like YouTube, MetaCafe, Veoh, Flickr and Picasa. Would You Buy This?0Yes0No Popcorn...

Popcorn Hour A-100 Network Media Tank Review

By Paul Moons

In creating the original Xbox, Microsoft unwittingly helped create the single most affordable and feature packed media player of the Standard Definition age. The free open source Xbox Media Centre (XBMC) software - when coupled with a modified Xbox - ...

Plays back everything. E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G ; Great price ; Tiny form factor ; Regular Firmware Updates

Plain UI Some creature comfortsmissing - bookmarking (for all files), reading within RARs, etc ; 3.5? internal drive way too hot, loud ; No off button ; Buggy ; No Gigabit Ethernet ; No SATA

The Popcorn Hour A-100 is one of the new breed of hardware devices which looks as if it will forever be in beta. While the firmware has already been updated since we received our unit - and solved some issues - it isn't complete. And I suspect it will ...

Popcorn Hour A-100 Review

By Ian Morris

Media streamer for high-definition content up to and including 1080p

Picture quality ; sound quality ; connection options ; flexibility ; user interface ; price ; ability to play 1080p

It's not that easy to get in the UK ; no Wi-Fi

This is the best media streamer we've reviewed. Videos in 1080p look crisp and detailed. It's flexible and supports virtually every codec commonly found online. You don't need a computer science degree to operate it and it won't break the bank

Also, we found them plenty comfortable for about an hour or so, but could see the hard plastic buds irritating some ears.

Popcorn Hour NMT A100 (500 GB)

US Note: This is an automatic translation. The text can differ from the original review.

The A100 from NMT Popcorn Hour has many video connections and plays more video formats. If you create it because the data on the hard drive to get .

Is MPEG-4 H.264 again, HDMI output ;

PC Connection complicated, dubbing process takes too long ;

The good facilities, Internet radio capability and good values in the picture and sound quality are not enough: The operation of the disk is much too complicated. Popcorn to the movie, but not to watch movies - the multimedia hard drive came on a "sa...

Media Links to the bridge between PC and TV shooting as mushrooms from the ground. The Popcorn Hour A-100 is already on his name. Did he in his march ?

The installation and ease of use of the Popcorn Hour A-100 excel in simplicity. The interface is not stunning or original, but simple and clear. The unit is quiet, unless you are a (not supplied) IDE disk stops. Because the Popcorn itself is not a fan, yo...

It is quiet, unless you are a (not supplied) IDE disk stops. Because the Popcorn itself is not a fan, you hear only the grating of the latter when they are in operation. And that is ... always. Want a button is not there. The disk thus runs very hot, is a...

Popcorn Hour NMT-A100

US Note: This is an automatic translation. The text can differ from the original review.

A company named "Popcorn Hour" with meedraagt promises are generally not very good. Visions of plastic fake stuff from China insist on. What sets our surprise, the NMT-A100 is the best media streamer we've ever contemplated .

+ Plays almost all popular formats + Nas functionality as samba, ftp, torrents + works even without hard disk + Advanced plugin options

- A few bugs to identify network shares - Filling hard disk via network is slow - Interface is not very fast

If we must be very honest, there is currently no better than the media adapter Popcorn Hour NMT-A100. The device can handle both UPnP AV servers in direct shares, plays smooth all the recent high-definition files can be equipped with a hard drive and serv...
