LG BD390

Excellent image quality on Blu-ray movies ; integrated 802.11n Wi-Fi ; Netflix, YouTube, and CinemaNow streaming ; superfast disc loading ; plays music, videos, and pictures off a connected USB drive or over network ; Profile 2.0 compatible ; onboard ...

Costs as much as a PS3 ; CinemaNow doesn't stack up to Amazon Video On Demand

The LG BD390's combination of excellent image quality, superfast loading times, and its currently unbeatable feature set make it our top choice among premium standalone Blu-ray players.

Photo gallery: LG BD390 In 2009, it's not enough for a Blu-ray player to just play Blu-ray movies. If you're not, the LG BD390 is our top pick for premium standalone Blu-ray players, narrowly besting the competing Samsung BD-P3600. LG provides a...

LG BD390 Network Blu-ray Disc Player

By Robert Heron

Award: Editor's Choice!

It's been about three years since the first Blu-ray player arrived on store shelves, and aside from the Sony PlayStation 3, none has offered built-in wireless networkinguntil now. LG's BD390 Network Blu-ray Disc Player ($450 list) is the company's ...

Fastest Blu-ray player on the market. Built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi. Network multimedia streaming including Netflix and YouTube

Remote control feels flimsy for pairing with a premium player. Limited peak white detail with default settings

A quick disc handler, integrated wireless networking, and solid multimedia support make the LG BD390 a capable, well-rounded Blu-ray player.

LG's BD390 Network Blu-ray Disc Player ($450 list) is the company's latest flagship unit, and includes 802.11n Wi-Fi for easy access to BD-Live and simple firmware updates. LG's previous-generation player, the BD300, was the first to trump the...

LG BD390 Wi-Fi Blu-ray Player Review: So Packed You'll Forget About Blu

By Wilson Rothman

Samsung currently ships two Blu-ray players with Wi-Fi dongles, but LG's $400 BD390 is first with real integrated Wi-Fi. It's probably the best all-around Blu-ray player there is at the moment, and it's getting better.

as far as the wiring goes. Two wires, including power. Nice

LG BD390 review

By Daniel Phillips

There's a handful of manufacturers who keep pushing Blu-ray technology forward inch by inch, then watch as the competition scrambles to catch up. LG is one of them, and this time it's come up with the most technologically advanced Blu-ray deck ever ...

Wi-Fi and built-in memory, fast disc loading, picture quality, format support

The fact we can't keep the sample

No other Blu-ray deck blends features, functionality and performance quite like the BD390 - and you don't have to break the bank to get one

LG BD390 Blu-ray player

By Rik Henderson

Everybody has sympathy for Toshiba over HD DVD, but few have shed a tear for LG. Let's not forget that the plucky South Korean giant put its heart, s(e)oul and more than a few shekels into the Super Multi Blue idea, with combination Blu-ray/HD DVD PC ...

LG BD390 Network Blu-ray Disc Player

By Chris Jager

The LG BD390 Network Blu-ray Disc Player is a BD player with a difference -- integrated wireless networking, no less. Having beaten Sony€™s impending suite of next-gen offerings to the post, it€™s officially the first Blu-ray player to boast built-in ...

Integrated Wi-Fi, superb BD image quality, good DVD upscaling, fast load times

Expensive, remote control could be better

If you can overlook its questionable price tag, the LG BD390 Network Blu-ray Disc Player is one of the better options on the market. No other Blu-ray player currently offers the same breadth of features. Shame about the remote control though.
