Bigger isn't always better, and the tiny dynamo of a chip inside AMD's Radeon 4770 proves it.
Can deliver many games at acceptable frame rates at resolutions as high as 1920x1200; inexpensive
Can't deliver Crysis at high resolution, memory interface limited to 128 bits, requires a dongle for HDMI
Priced at well under £100, the ATI HD 4770 presents surprising competition to the respected 4850 graphics cards.
That closeness in performance to the HD 4850 makes the ATI Radeon HD 4770 an outstanding card, given that it should sell for at least £50 less then the 4850. It's also cheaper in comparison with the 4830, despite being faster in most of our tests. ...
ATI's 40nm architecture was not his debut in a high-end graphics card, as initially expected, but in these mainstream Radeon HD 4770. Actually that is understandable, because the most expensive graphics cards are just a small niche .
+ great price / performance
- dual slot cooler - extra food needed
The Radeon HD 4770 is a great mainstream graphics card. We hope that ATI's partners quickly with single-slot designs to come, so that the map in all cases can be used .
