This ToughDrive Pro U&F is an upgrade of Freecom's existing 2.5-inch 160GB ToughDrive. The capacity's the same but for an extra £50 you get a FireWire 400 connection to bolster the single USB 2.0 port

It's always a good idea to have a backup of your laptop's hard drive, should the worst happen. However, there are times when you'll need to take that backup with you, so having a shock-proof external drive is a good option
