Thin, sexy design, decent battery life.
Older CPU, overly glossy screen can be hard to read, touch pad is too small.

Dell has finally put design first with the head-turning XPS m1330 laptop, emphasizing both the "thin" and "light" aspects of the thin-and-light category without sacrificing features or performance.
Thin, sexy design ; strong performance ; backlit-LED display ; included media remote control ;
Small touchpad ; some options (SSD hard drives, Blu-ray) not available yet ; not as many color options as Dell's new Inspiron line ;

While a worthwhile vendor of mass-market mainstream laptops and desktops, Dell has never been known as an innovator in consumer product design. In fact, the company's stodgy, boxy products have been blamed for a loss of market share to the bolder ...

The Penryn-updated XPS M1330 is a remarkable notebook for a very reasonable price.
Sharp design, Excellent performance, Mobile broadband option
No Blu-ray option, Extended battery adds noticeable heft
You also get a generous 160GB hard drive, a fingerprint reader, and a 2.0-MP webcam that includes image-enhancement controls, pan and zoom, face tracking, and special effects (a VGA webcam upgrade costs $150 more). Other perks include 10GB of free ...
To use, the Dell is very comfortable thanks to its soft touch keys and responsive trackpad. Its 13.3-inch LCD is also a quality display, better than the identically sized screen offered by Fujitu Siemens? LifeBook S6410 (reviewed last month) in terms ...
A fashionable player that packs strong performance punches in every department.
D ell is targeting home and home-office users with its new XPS M1330 ultra-portable and thus the notebook needs a little bit of everything, spec-wise, to keep both types of user happy. Thankfully, under the hood the M1330 has exactly what the...
Eminently portable ; available with LED-backlit screen ; very good performance ;
Options drive up price quickly ; glitch with tested DVD drive ; thin sound from built-in speakers ;
Sharp looks and sleek design make this the thin-and-light to carry. Technophiles will love its cutting-edge options.
Dell has crammed just about every new bit of technology available for notebooks into the XPS M1330, and the result is a sleek thin-and-light that should impress even the most jaded PC buyers. With its handsome design, sharp screen, and extensive...
The Dell XPS M1330 is proof that thin and light notebooks do not have to be underpowered. Running a full fledged Santa Rosa platform with a mobile GeForce 8 series GPU, the M1330 transcends notebook conventions and fuses everything you always wanted ...
A Look Inside the M1330 The Dell XPS M1330 is based on Intel's latest Santa Rosa Centrino Duo platform, but like any Dell notebook, the M1330 is extremely configurable, so it is hard to pin down a specific performance category that it belongs to...
Thin, wedge shape, Slot-fed optical drive
A little pricey, No modem and only two USB ports
This light, stylish notebook is full of high-end features.
If cutting-edge tech is what you're after, consider the Dell XPS M1330, which performed near the top of its class. All of those trimmings add up, however: At $2179 (as of 9/12/07), a tricked-out M1330 is expensive. At a 4.7-pound minimum weight,...

The M1330 is available in black for $50 less than the Crimson Red version we tested. But if you want a thin and light notebook that makes a visual impression as strong as its performance, the flashy color will do the trick
