The Sigma Corporation is pleased to announce the new Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 EX DG HSM lens. This large aperture standard zoom lens covers focal lengths from 24mm and is housed in compact construction. The latest optical design provides an overall length ...
(Left): To show the difference a long lens makes, this comparison image was taken with a 75mm lens at f/2.
The Sigma 150mm f/2.8 EX DG HSM Macro Lens delivers excellent image quality in a relatively long focal length (for a macro lens) at a very reasonable price
Installing the lens cap is very difficult with the hood in place. A 72mm Tamron center-pinch lens cap would solve this problem. A padded case is included in the Sigma 150mm f/2.8 EX DG HSM Macro Lens box. A belt loop would be a nice improvement for an ...
I'd like to do a full review of the Sigma 150-500mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Lens lens at some point. No promises
I believe I will provide a nicer end result, but it is going to take me longer than planned to bring everything online. I currently have all of Canon's current AF lenses and all listed (and a couple of yet-unlisted) Sigma and Tamron lenses with the ...
Impressively quick and quiet automatic-focusing
Significant softness at wide aperture
Award: Highly Recommended!
Once more into the breach dear friends, once more; Or, in this case, onto the mount of Ian Andrews camera for a shakedown of this new lens from Sigma.
Fast focusing, Good stabilisation system, Excellent value for money, Relatively compact
OS system slightly noisy, Tripod foot could be half inch longer to make more comfortable handle.
In terms of features versus value for money, this lens has to be the telephoto bargain of the century to date. With both a sonic focusing system and an optical stabilisation system, the two of which work well, coupled with a good optical performance ...

This Sigma is a heavyweight among macro lenses at 900g, and comes with its own tripod mounting collar as standard. Closest focus distance is 0.38 metres but with a focal length of 150mm, you don't need to get so close to start with
Attractive, Good HD pictures, Good value for money
Non-high def material disappoints, Mediocre sound, Image quality not the best
With its 150mm focal length, HSM autofocus and sturdy tripod collar, the Sigma has plenty going for it at this price
Big zooms tend to be the favoured tool of the sports or action photographer, and if you are looking for such an optic, then for £730 you should consider this Sigma 150-500mm f/5-6.3 – it's a beast of a lens.
