Creative Zen Vision W (60GB) review

Beautiful wide-screen display ; durable design ; intuitive interface ; holds up to 60GB ; supports wide array of video formats ; plays FM radio ; supports TiVo To Go and limited movie downloads ; syncs with Outlook ; removable battery ; CompactFlash ...

Bulky body that's just a tad heavy ; no line-in audio or video recording ; no kickstand ; TiVo To Go requires file conversion and third-party MPEG-2 decoder

The bulky but easy-to-use Creative Zen Vision W and its nice screen will dazzle video lovers who don't require video recording.

We will update this review as soon as the new player is released, but in the meantime, consider waiting to purchase a new 60GB Zen Vision W. Photos and video pop off the screen, and unlike the Vision's 3.7-inch 4/3 screen, it has an exceptionally...

Creative Zen Vision W - Portable Media Player Reviews by Mobile Tech Review

By Lisa Gade

Portable media players are second class citizens compared to MP3 and small format video-capable music players like the iPod Video and Zune when it comes to sales figures. Why? The little guys are about half the size, which suits those who want ...

Fantastic widescreen display is perfect for movie playback: high resolution, great brightness and super-saturated color with a good viewing angle and sharpness. Sound quality is also excellent and the FM radio gets better reception than average, ...

No add-on hardware for recording video. Natively supports JPEG format photos only- RAW photographers can backup images from a card to the Zen Vision W but they can't view them. Requires included drivers to mount the entire drive as a removable disk ...

If you're a video collector, DVD ripper (we won't tell anyone), YouTube addict or are enamored with Amazon's Unbox service and want to take your videos with you anywhere, the Creative Zen Vision W is an excellent choice. We recommend the 60 gig if you ...

PMP prices have dropped dramatically over the past few years and now the price difference is modest at $50 or so with portable media players winning big time on features: you get more bang for the buck with a portable media player. Portable media...

Creative Zen Vision:W

By Russ Fischer

Creative's widescreen update of the Zen Vision line is a solid choice for users who just need the basics.

• High-quality video playback • Good control layout • Intuitive menus • Supports many file formats

• No DVR option • Lacks video playlist support • Mediocre audio battery life

Media junkies looking for an affordably priced portable video player will find a compelling option in Creative's Zen Vision W, so named for the screen's wide 16:9 format. Choice for personal media players has been the Archos 604, and while this...

Creative Zen Vision:W

By Mike Kobrin

Creative has literally expanded its Zen Vision line with the new Zen Vision:W portable media player: the W stands for widescreen. Unfortunately, the player isn't particularly sleek, and its audio battery life is shorter than it should be for a device ...

Nice-looking 16:9 screen. Good video quality and format support. Powerful built-in speaker. Intuitive interface. Removable battery. Supports PlaysForSure and Audible. TV output at 720-by-480. Excellent viewing angle.

No kickstand. Short audio battery life. Body feels bulky. No DVR feature. No video playlists or sequential playback.

This is a solid product with lots of features, good audio/video quality and a decent price, but its bulk and somewhat disappointing battery life keep it from shining.

Creative has literally expanded its Zen Vision line with the new Zen Vision:W portable media player: the W stands for widescreen. All Shots The 30GB Zen Vision:W's silver and black plastic body is a bit chunky, measuring 0.9 by 5.4 by 2.9 inches...

Creative's Zen Vision W

By Alex Halperin

Short clips and music are a breeze, but downloading longer video files will definitely trouble your serenity.

For those of us who don't think we spend enough time in front of a screen, Creative (CREAF) has introduced the Zen Vision W. This is the company's latest attempt to scale Mount St. iPod, and it has a certain appeal. Available in 30 GB ($299.99) and 60 ...

Creative Zen Vision W debuts in US

Creative Zen Vision W reviewed

By Paul Miller

We were all stoked about the Creative Zen Vision until we discovered what a let-down the screen turned out to be. Therefore we're understandably wary going into this one, but apparently Creative noted our concern, and the Creative Zen Vision W comes ...

CNET got their hands on one for a review, and seemed quite enamoured with the brightness, color and viewing angle of the new 4.3-inch widescreen, though a bit of sharpness was lost in comparison to the Zen Vision. The lack of video recording...
