Is it all praise for the Sansa Mondeo?
Solid all-round ability; Price; SD slot
Screen size
Owners may occasionally get Sony envy - until they check their digital file 'trunk space', and bank balance
Would anointing the Sansa Fuze as MP3 players Ford Mondeo damn the little fellow with faint praise? If so, we apologise, but without ever leading the pack for looks or performance, the Fuze delivers truly solid all-round ability. Dinkier than...
A good value player with straightforward operation
Straightforward operation ; expandable memory ; good value for money
Not a lot of control over media ; audio and video performance could be better
Sandisk, known for its memory cards, also has a fair pedigree in portable music players, and it recently updated its range with the new Sansa Fuze.
Sandisk, known for its memory cards, also has a fair pedigree in portable music players, and it recently updated its range with the new Sansa Fuze. The Fuze adopts many of the same features as the other current Sandisk models, with a mechanical...
The 4GB Sansa Fuze handles music, videos, FM radio and voice recording with kick-ass usability, giving Apple devotees a good excuse to ditch their Nanos and embrace the joy of drag and drop.
However, once you inspect the guts of the Fuze, that's where the aesthetic comparison ends. A minute of video will set you back about 6-10MB. ** One eagle eyed reader emailed us and said that the supplied video conversion software with the Fuze...
Unfortunately the screen that SanDisk have put in the device is really only adequate for using the on screen menu. It's far too small and low-res to be useful as a video player
The new Sandisk MP3 player is a ‘mini' version of the View that we have reviewed in May. But just because it is smaller doesn't mean that it cannot perform as well as its big brother. We check out Sandisk's latest offering, the Sansa Fuze, and see how ...
Small profile ; Ease of use ; Photo, Video, Music support ; FM tuner with recording ; Voice recorder ; microSD card slot ; Lots of options to choose from
Conversion may be needed for some files
Sansa's slick music player is a small wonder. Page: 1 2 [3]
ONE of the few small flash players to really impress, the Fuze reproduces excellent quality audio.
Attractive design, great audio quality, lots of features, microSD expansion slot
No gapless playback, screen not great quality
The Sandisk Sansa Fuze is another solid entry into the flash-based media player market. It has a nice array of features and delivers excellent audio, although the lack of gapless playback was annoying at times.
In terms of design and style the Sansa Fuze certainly resembles its competitor from Apple, the iPod nano. However, the Sansa Fuze packs in a few features not found on the nano, including voice recording, an FM tuner and a microSD expansion slot....
The Fuze is easy to use and a decent alternative to the nano, but it does feel less polished overall.
Chic, sturdy design ; easily navigable menus ; heaps of features including a memory expansion slot ; handy Home button
Lower-res screen makes text menus and images look blocky ; dodgy earphones ; few customization options
, the Fuze's wheel is smooth and thumb-friendly and rotates with nary a snag
The SanDisk Sansa Fuze is designed to rival the Apple iPod nano.
The SanDisk Sansa Fuze is a solid alternative to the iPod nano, with even more functionality.
SanDisk Sansa Fuze reviewThe SanDisk Sansa Fuze is designed to rival the Apple iPod nano. Measuring 50x7x78mm, the Fuze is clearly designed to rival the iPod nano and fills the gap between SanDisk's Sansa Clip and Sansa View players. Powered by an...
sandisk sansa fuze review: Hey there, Nano killer! The Sansa Fuze has its sights set on Apple's skinny player, but comes up a little short. Still, with its extra features and ease of use, it's one to put on the shortlist.
Chic, sturdy design, Easily navigable menus, Heaps of features including a memory expansion slot, Handy Home button
Lower-res screen makes text menus and images look blocky, Dodgy earphones, Few customisation options
The Fuze is easy to use and a decent alternative to the Nano, but it does feel less polished overall.
Design Looking at the design of the Sansa Fuze, it's obvious which MP3 player it's setting its competitive sights on. Unlike the ridged and uncomfortable wheel found on Sansa's e200 series, the Fuze's wheel is smooth and thumb-friendly and rotates...
Looking to take a bite out of Apple's pie, SanDisk's Sansa Fuze sets its sights on the nano.
Hopefully the initially expensive prices will fall, because without that advantage, the Fuze looks distinctly out of sorts. It's a fine player with many worthy features, a lovely design and an interface that's extremely easy to use, but it's far from ...
Now that the Fuze is finally here, however, SanDisk at last has a direct competitor to Apple's most popular player. SanDisk's MP3 players have long been the popular alternative to Apple's all-conquering iPod players. And Sansa players such as the...
