Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme-775 RT

By Nathan Edwards

The last Thermalright cooler we reviewed, the IFX-14 (November 2008), actually bested our then-champion Thermaltake DuOrb in performance, but its enormous size cost it the crown. The slimmer Ultra-120 eXtreme, while still a skyscraper of finny ...

It's not the lightest nor newest air cooler out there, but it's quiet and brutally effective

Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme Copper Cooler

By Robert Tanner

Thermalright may be best known for their IFX-14, Ultra 120 Extreme, and TRUE Black coolers, but if even better performance is wanted and price is no option then they just might have the solution you have been looking for! [

Thermalright's TRUE Copper is a beautiful cooler, and who doesn't at least slightly enjoy owning one of a very limited edition product? The specific number of TRUE Coppers is only a few thousand at most, but the specific number seems to be in debate ...

X-bit labs - Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme vs. Super Coolers

By Sergey Lepilov

Meet a new CPU cooling solution from Thermalright. We are going to compare its thermal and acoustic characteristics against seven top air coolers from such well-known manufacturers as Scythe, Thermaltake, Zalman and Enzotech. Guess who the winner will ...

The Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme is the best air cooler I have ever tested in the total of its characteristics. When cooling an overclocked quad-core CPU it is only second to the Enzotech Ultra-X, but the difference is negligible. And the Ultra-120 ...

Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme: Heir to the CPU Cooling Throne

By Mike Chin

They added two more heatpipes to the Ultra 120 and renamed it the Ultra 120 eXtreme. Did this simple modification improve the already excellent performance of one of the biggest tower heatsinks around?

Can cool well with a very quiet fan, Can cool well with a very quiet fan

Expensive, Expensive

Thermalright does not ship a fan with their products, which increases its total ownership cost, but most silencers will want to pick their own anyway. Keep in mind the fan should come with open corners for the Thermalright fan clips to hook onto — ...

Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme: Is More Better

By Wesley Fink

Thermalright refines their chart-topping Ultra 120 with two more heatpipes. Does the updated design really improve performance? We find out in our exclusive review.

As testing on the Thermalright Ultra 120 was nearing completion, Thermalright contacted us and asked if we would like to take a look at a new Thermalright cooler that was "even better than the Ultra 120". With the Ultra 120 rising to the top of our ...

Thermalright Ultra 120: Elegant, Fanless and Efficient Cooling

By Wesley Fink

The high-end Thermalright Ultra 120 boasts top-of-the-line air cooling with a beautifully finished heatpipe tower. Is the Ultra 120 heir to the cooling performance crown or is it just another pretender?

Readers who tenaciously seek silence in their PC will probably recognize the Thermalright Ultra 120. It is not exactly the same heatsink, but it is similar in appearance to the HR-01 fanless cooler introduced by Thermalright in late 2005. That cooler ...

Thermalright Ultra-120 CPU Cooler

By Mike Balise

If you dont mind insane amounts of noise, then you can have high-end water cooling performance at a fraction of the cost. If you want a very quiet CPU cooler, you can still have very good performance plus lots of room to overclock.

Excellent performance - Excellent performance to noise ratio - Option for very low noise levels - Good price point - Outstanding build quality

Will not fit in some cases - May not fit some motherboards- Heavy- AM2 mounting requires optional kit.

Testing was conducted by running Prime95 for a timed period and read with the on-board temp sensor. Temps were recorded in Fahrenheit and converted to Celsius to provide better resolution and a temp probe was placed beside the IHS to confirm temps. ...

Thermalright Ultra 120 eXtreme

By SorX

While CPU's are continuing to get more and more power efficient and cooler, the heatsinks that are strapped on top continue to get larger. The current trend seems to be large, tower heatsinks with plenty of heatpipes sending heat to the fins. Today I ...

Excellent temperatures, Near silent operation, Easy installation

Very expensive, ,

There is literally nothing wrong with this cooler " excellent temperatures, easy install and silent operation " that is until you come to the price. It retails for £50 which is a fair ol" amount of beer money. Considering as the Coolink Silentator isn ...
