The LE40M87 is another fantastic value TV from Samsung, which has an enviable knack of producing TVs that hit all the sweet spots. This manages to boast a pretty design, a 40-inch screen, a 1080p display and three HDMI inputs -- all for £800. It's a ...
Styling ; picture quality ; ease of use ; connectivity
Sound is weak and unimpressive ; remote control is slow to respond
If you want a 1080p screen at a remarkably low price, this is probably the TV for you. It's a good performer and beautifully designed. It has a few annoying quirks, but it's a solid LCD television
The Samsung LE40M87, for example, can be bought online for around £800, which puts it almost in the bargain-basement range, despite being able to show 1080p material. Design Despite its budget price, the LE40M87 still boasts the same classy design...
The Samsung LE52M87BD is a 52-inch 1080p LCD TV which has strikingly good picture quality. Black levels are deep and convincing and the set delivers rich and vibrant colours. Hi-def reproduction has clarity and definition and the set looks fantastic ...
Black levels are outstanding by LCD standards ; beautifully designed ; connections are second to none
Occasional motion-handling issues
Although some relatively minor issues when it comes to handling motion mean there's still room for Samsung to improve, the LE52M87BD is overall a pretty sensational LCD package that certainly gives rival plasma screens something to think about. Well ...
Samsung has an uncanny knack for understanding exactly what makes AV punters tick. And so it is that the new LE52M87BD, a 52-inch LCD TV, seems to jump off the shop shelf at you with its punchy design and huge feature count. The 52M87BD's black...
- We all like big don't we, big cars, big houses, so why not big TVs? Well that's what Samsung is hoping with its whopping 52-inch LCD television as apart of its Bordeaux range. But does it impress? We get watching to find out.
Size, screen, 3 HDMI slots
Poor broadcast picture quality really shows up, dust attracts to it like a fly to you know what
The M87 is a very good television let down by non HD quality signals
Well that's what Samsung is hoping with its whopping 52-inch LCD television as apart of its Bordeaux range. Install the 52-inch monster, and as you can imagine it doesn't just dominate the room, it takes it over. 52-inches corner to corner is one...
Samsung's trademark gloss black finish and taste for subtle curves extends to 52in extremely well
Great Pictures ; Loaded with features and connections ; Gorgeous looks
Motion handling issues ; Tendency for noise
The best summary of the LE52M87BD's performance is 'mostly spectacular but occasionally flawed'. However, with its sumptuous looks and its extra cost over similar-sized plasma screens being mostly justified by its resolution and features, it's a TV ...
If you're looking for a TV which has style at its core, you have to consider one from Samsung. Happily, Samsung's trademark gloss black finish and taste for subtle curves extends to 52in extremely well. On board to improve picture quality are...
If you're looking for a TV which has style at its core, you have to consider one from Samsung. And the brand's new flagship LCD TV, the 52in LE‑52M87BD, certainly fits that bill

Jaw-dropping pictures and an outstanding features count to match
Generally good pictures, great price, well designed, excellent connections and feature count
Motion blur, some of the picture options are flawed
AKA 'The Tulip' TV
1080p; Good for games; Triple HDMIs
Shabby build; Noisy picture at times
Good with quality HD sources, but otherwise disappointing
Samsung LE46M87AKA 'The Tulip' TVSamsung calls this 46-inch LCD 'The Tulip'.
Fragger's best friend.
Full HD 1080p screen, Excellent for gaming, Three HDMIs ,
You've got to hand it to Samsung - they do like to load their tellies with more bells and whistles than a one-man band. Samsung doubtless claims that you get high-end design thrown in too, but we're not quite sold.
Award: Recommended!

If you want decent picture quality and a great set of features for less than 800, check this LCD TV out.
Although we ended on a little run of negatives, it really doesn't make sense for us to get too churlish about the LE40M87BD. For the simple fact remains that it's a superbly well-featured TV that also happens to produce frequently excellent 40in LCD ...
But we have to say we're a bit suspicious of the 'Tulip' name Samsung bandies about when talking about its 'M87' range of TVs. So for once it's perhaps just as well that Samsung doesn't use a name to market the 40in 'Tulip' we're looking at today,...
