Kodak EasyShare EX-811 Digital Picture Frame review

By David Carnoy

Built-in wireless connectivity allows you to tap into your home wireless network and stream images from your Windows PC or the Kodak EasyShare Gallery online photo-sharing service. The frame has a bright, relatively sharp 8-inch diagonal display, 128MB of...

The built-in speakers sound very tinny; when transferring photos to the display's internal memory, images aren't automatically resized to the size of the display to reduce file sizes. Music playback controls could be more straightforward.

While it has a few minor flaws, Kodak's Wi-Fi-enabled EX-811's strong feature set, good image quality, and online integration with the company's free EasyShare Gallery online photo-sharing service, make this frame a top choice in the digital photo frame c...

We've had high expectations for Kodak's EX-811 8-inch digital photo frame ever since we got wind that the frame would have built-in wireless connectivity that would allow you to tap into your Windows PC, and more importantly, the Kodak's...

Kodak EasyShare EX811

By Jennifer L. DeLeo

Kodak's EX811 is a Wi-Fi-enabled digital photo frame that is relatively easy to set up and use. Although its photo quality isn't the best, several compelling features make it worth a look.

Wireless connectivity. 128MB of internal memory. Widescreen. Video and MP3 playback. Automatic on/off timer. Headphone jack. Mini USB port. Excellent remote. Adjustable brightness.

Photo quality could be better. No audio out. Using on-screen keyboard is tedious. Video playback is choppy.

It's the first Wi-Fi—enabled digital photo frame we've seen that is relatively easy to set up and use. Although its photo quality isn't the best, the frame's other offerings—including 128MB of onboard memory and headphone jack—attracts atte

Jumping on this trend, Kodak has introduced the Wi-Fi–enabled EasyShare EX811 ($229.95 direct), a versatile display that suffers a bit in terms of image quality. Kodak's EasyShare EX811 is the first Wi-Fi–enabled digital photo frame I've tested...

Kodak EasyShare EX811 Digital Picture Frame

By Joshua Goldman

Great screen; attractive, changeable faceplate; built-in Wi-Fi, stereo speakers; easy setup, operation

Ugly back panel; may have too many features for some users

The Kodak EasyShare EX811 digital frame has a lot to offer—which is possibly its biggest drawback.

A ton of digital picture frames are available on the market, but the $229.95 Kodak EasyShare EX811 is one of the few worth owning. It's a first-rate frame that gives you unique access to the digital photos, videos, and music stored on your PC and...

However, Kodak's done a nice job making the frame's interface easy to use, and while the frame isn't ultraslick looking, it comes in a simple, understated interchangeable black outer frame with a glossy black inner frame, which surrounds the...

Kodak EX811 digital photo frame

By Karen Haslam,

The 8in, all-black Kodak EX811 is the only digital photo frame we've seen that plays video and audio files.

At £150 the Kodak is well-priced for this kind of product, and its wireless facilities make it a desirable proposition. Is a digital-photo viewer worth £150 to you? If so, the Kodak EX811 is a very good buy.

Kodak EasyShare EX811 digital picture frame

By Melissa J Perenson

Kodak's 8in EasyShare EX811 digital photo frame displays slideshows of digital images.

The Kodak EasyShare EX811 isn't the largest screen (there is also a 10in model, and other manufacturers produce frames larger even than this), but if you prize easy wireless connectivity and flexible content playback above screen size then the 8in Kodak E...

The Kodak EasyShare EX811 displays images via Wi-Fi from your PC or from Kodak's EasyShare Gallery website. It comes with memory card slots, and the Kodak EasyShare EX811 can also play music and video files while propped up on its kickstand. The...

Kodak EasyShare EX811 Digital Picture Frame

Here's a neat way to display your digital photos and movies.

The EX811 is a smart, useful, and very user friendly bit of kit. Computer connection is a doddle with simple drag n drop, and menu navigation is a breeze. To its credit, it offers some excellent features, WiFi, PictBridge printing, and a gorgeous screen.

In fact it is far more than just a digital picture frame, as it will not only display your favourite jpeg images, but can play movies and music. If you really want to show off your picture collection this is definitely the way to do it. This...
