Media Extender device and upscaling DVD player
Wireless-N connectivity; easy to install; works as promised
Lacks support for all audio/video formats
The MCE DMA2200 is probably the best media streaming device we've ever tested. It's a shame you can only use it with Windows Vista, but for those who want to send media from their PC to their TV, it's the ideal solution
You can set up a password to connect to the drive, although you get no user m...
Well-built media center extender has draft-n Wi-Fi, but its interface can be lethargic and its remote is awful.
Well-built box, Very good video streaming quality
Abominable remote control, Flaky association with host PC
If some company were to make an extender that's capable of a reliable, don't-have-to-think-about-it connection, came with a high-quality remote control, and had an interface I could navigate as quickly and smoothly as I can, say, a cable-TV box's interfac...

-Pretty good build quality on the unit itself (no sharp metal poking out, good wireless performance, etc.) -Dead silent -Builtin DVD player -Its a Media Center Extender
-Codec support? May be just me but MP4 with AAC is pretty much the only high quality good compression codec that wants to play on this thing. WMV might work but does that really qualify? -Silk Screened buttons are wearing off on my unit. Eject is gone now...
Perhaps, I just got a dud unit.
Excellent thought to integrate the DVD player.
The audio just quit working. It is hooked through an HDMI cable through my reciever, while watching a movie it just cut out.I then connected it directly to my TV and there is no audio during DVD play.
slow to respond; so you should plan ahead on what you're going to watch. a pain to setup.
nice dvd player. looks well made. Not that many choices out there.
Setup problems - my WAP key is a full sentence. works fine on PCs but not this device. could not get a wirless connection going until i changes the passphrase to something much shorter. - my media center is connected to a TV with Vista's LARGE FONT at 102...
