The Chillstream is the high-end gamepad from Logitech. It looks almost identical to the Xbox 360 pad, although Logitech has added two subtle innovations to tempt you away from its rival. Firstly, this pad has a built-in ventilation system on either side...
- High quality materials, - Quiet buttons, - Ventilation is pleasant when games are paused
- Slippy analog sticks, - Too small, unusual shape, - Gimmicky ventilation, - No vibration, - No customizable profiles
Even though this pad looks a lot like the Xbox 360's, it lacks many of Microsoft's advantages. The sticks are slippy, the handles too small and therefore less comfortable and the vibration has had to make way make for air-con, which isn't really worth it....
Is it too damning to call the Chillstream an 'ideal gift'? It's actually a pretty decent pad, and the fan function will keep you giggling for ten minutes or so, but after that you'll kind of wish you just had a normal pad instead...
Decent 10-button analogue joystick. Strong resemblance to 360 controller. Chillstream isn€™t intrusive
Chillstream function is a novelty at best. Microsoft's Xbox 360/PC controller is better. Chillstream is pretty loud, too
Of course, the 'but' part is that you've just parted with money for a joypad with a built-in fan, making you easy prey for jokes, pointing and YouTube videos, especially once your mates hear the thing whining away in your palm
The Logitech ChillStream technology helps keep your hands cool when gaming gets really intense. Three speed settings allow you to adjust the ventilation force of the integrated fan. No matter wha...
I like the controller. I just wished that it worked. What good is it if it only works with SOME games. My Saitek worked with ALL games. Logitech should stop being so d@mn cheap and write a driver that works rather then use the filth provided by Microsoft....
Well laid out. Comfortable feel (though it's tiny). Fans work well.
Its small. For some perspective the top of the controller is the same width as a CD. The right analog does not work in GTA-SA. No good moving around if you can't look around. Issues with many other games, with NO support from Logitech. You cannot remap th...
I bought this to replace my aging Nyko Air-Flo and was not, initially, happy. It's smaller than the Nyko, which left my hands cramped; and, I don't have big hands. The MS drivers aren't any good. Specifically, many games don't recognize or are unable to u...
Exact duplicate of the Xbox 360 controller--probably one of the best gamepads on the market. Fans are quiet and keep your hands cool.
Cord is too short unless you keep your box near your seat. Uses Microsoft drivers, which don't work very well. Many PC games have no use (nor do they recognize) the analog triggers. Small controller feels cramped.
This controller is pretty much the same as an xbox controller except that it has 2 extra buttons by the triggers which is nice. It looks sleek, the color of the buttons is sweet and shiny. It plays nice in Halo 2 as well. Have yet to try it in another gam...
The fan inside the controller makes a noise as it runs tht can get irritating, but its pretty quiet. Could be just mine but who knows. Its worth the hand cooling tho. Analog Layout is a tad looser than the xbox controller but its cool.
