This is the perfect Macbook Mini or Mini Air if you don't want to spend the money on a full fledged Mac notebook this is a great way to go

The glossy screens look good if you'll always be indoors but if you want to take it outdoors for some reason forget even hoping to seeing anything

battery

excellent battery life
The long-life battery also raises the back of the netbook making it very comfortable to type
I got the battery to last 5.5 hours by dimming the lcd about half way on the plane.Great for email
battery life is pretty much ok..not that its bad
6 cell battery

Poor battery life
which achieved a mediocre battery life of 2 hours
Consider popping an extra 40 bones for the BX06 Mini Battery
That's miles hours behind pack leaders such as the Toshiba NB205-310
Battery life could be better

6-cell battery does not last as long as it should (I don't even want to know how long the 3-cell lasts)

Wish the AC adapter connector was on the other side - power and wireless LEDs are very bright and can be bothersome at night - Replacement HDD mounting bracket is fifty dollars

memory

I raised the memory to 2Gb from the factory 1GB
It has only 1 DIMMs slot so you have to opt for a 2GB ram stick instead of another 1Gb to add to the already 1GB
With an upgrade of the ram it still didn't seem quite right it was sluggish and unresponsive constantly CTRL + ALT + DEL to kill awry apps

Does need more memory and you may want to spend time removing the HP bloatware
Storage is easy by simply adding a 2.5" drive with more capacity
My model can't upgrade to 4GB RAM which would be great

HP swaps out the multimedia dongle port in favor of a built-in VGA port (plus a built-in RJ-45 ethernet jack for good measure
Only one 3.5 jack for headphones and mic so you can ether plug one or the other

These units are solidly built with very good keyboards

What do you do when you already have a couple of well-received netbooks
