Bowflex Boost

 

At less than $50, the Bowflex Boost is one of the least expensive activity trackers on the market, and it's constructed of a gorgeous, durable, and soft material. A lack of display and a poor mobile app prevent it from living up to its beauty, though.

Low cost activity tracker. Lovely, soft, durable material. Simple, single-button design. Tracks steps, calories burned, miles, and sleep. Compatible with Android and iOS.

No display other than indicator light. Not intuitive to use. Ugly app. Can't track calories consumed, weight, stairs climbed. No syncing capabilities with computer. Doesn't integrate with other fitness apps and services.

If you want a device that you'll use for months or years, I recommend the Fitbit One or the Basis Carbon Steel Edition. In the end, I think most people will be glad they paid a little extra. The real kicker about fitness trackers, though, is that they...
