Fitbit Flex 2 review

Fitbit Flex 2: The waterproof tracker is smaller, lighter, and better looking than the old Flex but it's still got a few issues.

Fitbit Flex 2

With the Flex 2, Fitbit upgrades its original entry-level fitness tracker with a fully waterproof design, color LEDs, automatic activity tracking, and a variety of ways to wear it.

Waterproof. LEDs indicate notifications. Interchangeable band, bangle, and pendant accessories. Comfortable, slim design. Accurate measurements.

No display. Lacks manual activity tracking.

Conclusions When it comes to $99 fitness trackers, it comes down to the Fitbit Flex 2 and the Misfit Ray. They each deliver accurate measurements, notifications from your phone, silent alarms, and they're both waterproof. The Flex 2 has more indicator...

Fitbit Flex 2 black

But in exchange for that long-overdue swim-friendliness, other features are lost. There's no heart rate tracking, and it doesn't have a display. Are you OK with that compromise?

The Flex 2 is slim and swim-proof, can track basic fitness data and supports a variety of accessories, including pendants.

It lacks a display and the more advanced features of other Fitbit trackers. Lacks heart rate tracking. The LED lights can be confusing; battery life should be better.

The Fitbit Flex 2 doesn't have all of the bells and whistles of other trackers, but it's finally swim-proof, and it does the basics and it does them well.

Fitbit Flex 2 review: The barebones tracker for the fitness rookie

If you're new to the world of connected health, the Fitbit Flex 2 might be just the lightweight fitness tracker to get you started.

Small and easy to wear ; Feature-packed ; Five-light indicator system tracks progress well ; waterproof ; removable, comes with accessories

Short Battery Life ; Long Charging time ; Five-light indicator system can be confusing

Fitbit Flex 2 Review: Best Budget Fitness Tracker

The $99 Fitbit Flex 2 is a great fit for those who want to track their steps, exercise and sleep without wearing a bulky device or plasticky band. Its water resistance means you don't have to take it off every day, and stylish accessories make this...

Automatic activity tracking ; Slim and lightweight ; Water-resistant

Fewer activities tracked when worn around the neck ; Call and text notifications could be glitchy with Android devices

If you want to track your activities with an inexpensive fitness tracker that doesn't look like one, you'll appreciate the $99 Fitbit Flex 2.

Fitbit Flex 2 review: Simple, stylish tracking

The Flex 2 is the sequel to the Fitbit's original all-day activity-tracker . It brings together fitness-tracking and sleep-tracking into a simple yet stylish wrist-worn design. The Fitbit Flex 2 is a simple yet effective tracker with a more exciting...

Waterproof, slim and stylish design, interchangeable accessories, accurate basic tracking, good value, great app platform

No elevation data, no GPS tracking, basic features, battery life could be better still, no third-party notification support

The Fitbit Flex 2 is a simple yet effective tracker with a more exciting design than its predecessor. Not a great deal has changed in terms of looks, but Fitbit has done enough to ensure the new-generation model doesn't look like a boring rubber band....

Fitbit Flex 2 review

Fitbit's Flex is back for round two

Comfortable and light ; Fun software ; Water resistant

Battery life not great ; Slow to charge ; Feature-light hardware

The Fitbit Flex 2 is a solid choice for those after something simple, as well as those who are in need of a water-resistant tracker. It's smaller and sleeker than the original, but at the cost of battery life.

Fitbit Flex 2

The original Fitbit Flex sat at the entry-level end of Fitbit's product range. It was a relatively discreet tracker that did the basics of activity and sleep tracking, but offered little beyond that.

The Fitbit Flex 2 is a solid upgrade over the original, but it’s still a rather basic activity tracker for the money.

Fitbit Flex 2 review: Fitbit's budget tracker

Despite a few annoyances, the Fitbit Flex 2 is a near-perfect affordable fitness tracker

Waterproofing and swim-tracking ; Easy to use ; Helpful app

No GPS or heart-rate monitoring

That being said, if you’re just trying to achieve a healthier lifestyle, you won’t be disappointed with the Fitbit Flex 2. It’s seriously easy to use, with a great app that offers a decent amount of helpful data to give you a leg-up when reaching for...
