Garmin Vivosport (2017) review

The Vivosport is the best fitness band we've ever tested.

GPS ; Heart rate monitoring ; Smart notifications ; Slim / lightweight ; Counts sets and reps

Touchy touchscreen

Don’t be fooled by the small package. Garmin’s Vivosport is a full-featured GPS smartwatch tucked into a fitness band. It’s light, attractive, snappy and features everything most anyone needs for tracking all around fitness metrics. Sure, there are...

Garmin Vivosport

The Garmin Vivosport costs a little more than other sports band-style fitness trackers, but makes up for it in features and functionality.

Comfortable. Easy to operate. Great automated activity-tracking options. Customizable. Supports push notifications.

A little expensive for a sports band. No swim tracking.

If you like the style of the Garmin Vivosport, there's no reason not to get one. It's reliable, durable, and accurate. If you're not sold on the Vivosport's design and would rather get a more fashionable tracker, check out the Vivoactive 3, a current...

Garmin Vivosport Review

Finishing in the middle of the pack, the Garmin Vivosport failed to make much of an impact on us

Solid display, ergonomic

A little pricey for its performance

This middle-of-the-road fitness tracker is relatively uninspiring and failed to impress. It's a little on the pricey side and doesn't really stand out from the pack. It's a definite improvement over some of the previous Garmin models in terms of being...

Garmin Vivosport Review: A Good GPS Watch Alternative

The Garmin Vivosport feels like a fitness tracker that's made for someone who doesn't want to pay full price for a sports watch with embedded GPS and support for a variety of workout types. This comes at a price: At $199, the Vivosport is more...

Comfortable ; Embedded GPS ; Swim-rated ; Music controls

Sensitive screen ; No interchangeable bands ; Bland design

The Garmin Vivosport is a GPS-enabled activity tracker with features you typically find on higher-priced sports watches.

Garmin vívosport review

The Garmin vívosport is a great fitness tracker and an obvious alternative to the Fitbit competition. It's slim, light, has a GPS and a heart rate monitor, and features plenty of improvements over its predecessors. The strength training features aren't...

Compact, lightweight design ; Color touchscreen display is easy to read outdoors ; Accurate GPS/HR sensors ; 5 ATM water resistance ; Five-day battery life

Sporty design might not look great at the office ; Display is too small ; Always-on display registers ghost taps too often ; Strength training is inaccurate ; Sleep tracking insights could be better

Garmin Vivosport In-Depth Review

A few weeks ago as part of Garmin's trifecta announcement of new Vivo-labeled products, they announced the Vivosport (along with the and ). In many ways the Vivosport got overlooked as it lacked the fashionista flashiness of the Vivomove HR, while also...

Garmin Vivosport

Garmin Vivosport review: A GPS-equipped fitness tracker that packs in plenty of extra features that make it a versatile fitness companion.

Comfortable design ; Accurate GPS and HRM ; VO2 Max estimations ; Good battery life

Rep counting is still tacked on ; Washed out display ; Slightly buggy automatic exercise tracking

A great all-round GPS fitness tracker for those not fashion focused

Garmin Vivosport review

This sporty lightweight is part fitness tracker, part smartwatch...

Serious fitness tracking features ; Always-on screen ; Fairly good battery life

Not the most alluring band around ; No support for chest strap HR sensors

This GPS fitness tracker fits more into a small band than just about any other

Garmin Vivosport review

A small band with a lot of tech

Small for a full GPS tracker ; Good battery life ; Fair heart rate accuracy

Bland design ; No swim modes ; GPS can be slow to lock on

The Garmin Vivosport doesn't have the style of a Fitbit or the high-tech vibe of a Samsung Gear. However, this is one of the smallest fitness trackers that has full GPS/HR tracking and an altimeter. It brings max tracking power with minimal bulk.

Garmin Vivosport review: A fine but fiddly tracker

The Garmin Vivosport doesn't really do much wrong, but it's not my favourite fitness tracker

The Garmin Vivosport is a perfectly competent device that achieves everything it sets out to. It looks okay, has a long battery life, tracks things accurately and has an excellent app for chewing over the data. For £170 it isn’t unreasonably priced for...
