Huawei Fit review

The Huawei Fit is durable and has accurate heart-tracking, but the user interface needs work.

Huawei Fit review

The Huawei Fit is like so many other wearables on the market. It's a good device on paper, but ultimately fails to dethrone Fitbit, Garmin and Samsung.

The Huawei Fit is lightweight, comfortable to wear, and has week-long battery life. It can track daily activities, including heart rate, and can show notifications from your phone. It can be worn in the shower and while swimming.

The display is dull and touchscreen is difficult to operate when working out. There's no GPS or automatic exercise detection. The Huawei app lacks any sort of social features.

The Huawei Fit is a capable fitness smartwatch, but the software falls short of the competition.

Huawei Fit

The Huawei Fit is a watch-like fitness tracker with an always-on display that tracks calories, distance, heart rate, sleep, steps, and can help you train for a race.

Always-on display. Built-in heart rate sensor. Waterproof. Pushes notifications. Tracks daily activity, calories, distance, and sleep. Helps plan training. Lightweight.

Touch display can accidentally start workouts. Heart rate monitoring is not continuous unless working out. Wide bezel.

The Huawei Fit is available starting today. I'm still in the process of testing it and awaiting a software update, but so far it seems promising for the price. Check back soon for a full review.

Huawei Fit Review

Last year Huawei burst onto the wearable scene with the launch of the Android Wear-powered Huawei Watch smartwatch. It was a little pricy, granted, and didn't really push the envelope on the Android Wear experience in general, but we couldn't deny that...

Long battery life ; High-visibility screen ; Very comfortable ; Attractive, watch-like design ; Waterproof

Touchscreen controls can be finicky ; Limited interactions available on wearable itself ; Huawei Wear companion app isn't very intuitive ; Other trackers offer more functionality for same (or close to it) money

Huawei's selling the Fit for just about $130, with your choice of two band sizes: 20mm or 18mm. And with either of those options, you can easily swap out the included band for an alternative of your choice. You also have your pick of color, with both...

Huawei Fit: accidentally the best smartwatch around

The Huawei Fit has been primarily marketed as a fitness tracker, but it actually turns out to be one of the best smartwatches I've ever tested. The price is lower than a standard smartwatch, and has a very attractive design. By linking it to your...

Fair price ; Long battery life

Sometimes sluggish performance

With this smartwatch, Huawei has succeeded in combining good battery life with a reasonable range of functions. Additionally, the design is simple and ingenious, and is available for a price that you can't really complain about. The clear competitor,...

Huawei Fit Review

The relatively young wearable market is already showing signs of slowdown. Sales are down 50 percent year over year, while current-era smartwatch pioneer Pebble was stripped down and sold off for parts in the face of mounting debt and declining sales....

Huawei Fit Review: Budget Smartwatch Meets Fitness Tracker

Credit: Jeremy Lips / Tom's Guide The Huawei Fit is more attractive than many of the square and chunky smartwatches out there, and it counted steps more accurately than many popular fitness trackers. Unfortunately, Huawei's fitness gadget doesn't...

Elegant watch face ; Simple design ; Smartphone notifications ; Inexpensive

Touch screen too sensitive ; Awkward layout for text on screen

If you want to receive all your smartphone notifications on your wrist along with fitness- tracking features in an attractive, simple package, the Huawei Fit is worth considering.

Huawei Fit review

Huawei's fitness tracker screams 'me, too!' in a crowded room

Discreet, traditional look ; Waterproof ; Heart rate and sleep tracking ; Supports stop-and-go workouts

Spotty value for the cost ; Limited functionality compared to competition ; Error-prone interface

The Huawei Fit tries to answer the call for those looking for a simplistic, traditional-looking fitness tracker. There are even a few surprise features included, but the interface isn’t as intuitive as it claims, and slightly pricier competing...

Huawei Fit review: An affordable smartwatch with an 8-day battery life

The Huawei Fit fitness tracker and smartwatch doesn't bring much new to the wearables party, but it's affordable and compatible with both Android and iOS. Is it any good? Find out in our Huawei Fit review

There's plenty to like here, from the extremely good battery life and decent water resistance rating to that always-on time display. Heart rate monitors aren't a given in this class of wearable and swim-tracking is an unexpected bonus. And it looks ok,...
