Bought this yesterday. Easy to set up, just remember to have some duct tape and buy a short hose. Using it in an area larger than intended but it still works very well. There is some noise but I expected it to be louder from other comments I've read....

In 4hr period, it cooled my 300sqft studio over 20 degrees! It's as loud as any other a/c unit-especially those used at hotels!

Setting up the window installation for the exhaust hose was tricky and didn't fit very well, but this isn't the fault of the manufacturer of the portable AC unit.

Cools OK but man is it loud! It would actually be OK if there werent an accompanying rattle (like a loose screw) in the compressor. We have a Sharp 10,000 btu portable and it's nice and quiet; trade off is it doesnt cool as well.

Use this unit in a small room to keep computer equipment cool in the winter so we do not have to turn on the main AC unit. Keeps the room cool. A little noisy, but since it is in a room in the production area it is not really an issue.
