SOLEUS AIR PH3-12R-03 Air Conditioner White

Not exactly what I wanted (a heat pump capable of fitting in a horizontal sliding window) but it'll do just fine for what I need (primarily dehumidify and heat two bedrooms). If the exhaust tube and power cord were another three feet longer, it would...

Effective air conditioner and dehumidifier. Since it's summer testing the heat function of the heat pump is impractical; I should follow up during winter for the heat function

Noisy even at low fan speed; wish the exhaust tube and power cord were longer ; Required some duct tape treatment for the window

It's OK for $400

Just happy this isn't a year-round use item.

Cools, swings (vertically), semi-portable, no need to empty a bucket (so far)

Temperature in Celsius, needs 2' behind it for a poor rear exhaust design, no sleep timer (off in an hour or two), EXTREME power usage for the actual cooling level provided - is it really 12,000 BTU

Resonably priced, effective air conditioner

I am impressed with this air conditioner. Not only is it reasonably-priced for a 12,000 BTU unit, it also includes very effective heat pump functionality. It installed with ease and while the exhaust fan is not quiet, much of the noise is from rushing...

Easy to install and use, quite effective heating and cooling, energy efficient and environmentally-friendly, nice extras (like sleep mode, oscillation, and 24-hour timer), includes remote control, heavy-duty casters

Remote control not designed too well, drainage plug located in awkward position, not super quiet

Inefficient Portable Air Conditioner

I have a 400-sq. ft., open-space studio of standard (8-ft) ceiling, with myself and the refrigerator as major heat sources (no cooking at all). This air conditioner can barely get the temp lower than 79F inside my apartment, while the outside...

Nice design ; Easy installation ; Multi-season use/Multifunctional ; Environmentally friendly refrigerant

Noisy in general (even in Fan mode) ; Does not cool the room as expected for it's rating

Dissapointing air conditioner

Better off getting an window unit. If it has to be a portable spring for a dual hose model to avoid the negative room pressure problem.

Makes a cool stream of air

Isn't able to cool medium size room below 77F while 80F outside ; The single hosed design uses air in the room to both blow out cold air and send waste heat outside, setting the room at negative pressure ; This resulted in all the hot muggy air outside...

Portable and Easy to install

Should come with at-least two window kits so can be moved easily from one room to an other.

Portable, User friendly, Excellent Packing

Not powerful as mentioned. Drain is too low

Chuck Noris of air conditioners

I'm really impressed with this unit. Excellent dollar per BTU. Looking forward to trying the heating capability this winter.

Excellent cooling. I'm in the desert and using this unit to cool large family room. The outside temps exceed 100+ and this unit is keeping the room nice and cool ; Extremely tough. The unit is sitting on a movable cart about 18inches off the floor. One...

It's portable like a refrigerator is portable. It has casters and can move. But, you end up duct taping the window exhaust to get a good seal. All "portable" units are like that

Easy to Install and Operate

Good unit for the price (about $400 with standard shipping)

Packaging is excellent ; Display panel is user friendly

You will likely need duct tape to attach exhaust hose to window outlet frame and unit attachment panel ; Temperature measurement is in Celsius, not Farenheit

Summer just got cooler

Newegg was a lot cheaper than any retail store in town and any thing else I could find on line. I notice the price has already increased a bit. I got it on sale for $348.

I needed an AC unit to cool a home office/hobby room (20x15). I saw this unit at a retail store and was surprised at the amount of cold air blowing out ; setup was about 40 min. Duct tape helped to seal gaps in the window ; I live in Phoenix and this...

none so far. Very pleased and very cool
