Works great

I bought a GE unit at first from Home Depot. It worked but was very noisy. Did some more research and found the Danby to get good reviews. It works great and is much quieter than the GE model. Some reviewers complained about the difficulty of aligning...

this works, as in, it pulls gallons of water

... pulls gallons of water out of the air per 12 hour period. Sensor data seems believable. Smaller units i have had no good luck with -- they pull a very small amount of water over long periods of time, they are a joke really.

Good product

Onlt thing I do not like is if it is still running and you want to empty the bucket, you must turn it off first and wait to drain. Other machines I have had in past, as soon as you pull the bucket out, they shut off. This feature was very nice, wish...

Danby 45 pint dehumidifier

Dehumidifier is exactly as advertised, even though the fan is continuous it is much quieter than our previous unit by another manufacturer. We are very pleased with the unit it worked quickly to remove the moisture. It is a great product as well as the...

Effective dehumidifier

Only complaint is the fan runs all the time. I am not sure how this will effect its energy efficiency.

Impressed

Dehumidifier does exactly as it states, removes moisture from air. The amount of moisture removed is actually astounding. We live in Florida, very near the ocean so experience much humidity. We actually grew tired of dumping out the water so we...

Danby DDR45A2GP

I have had a very old dehumidifier running in my basement for 10 years. I thought it was doing a good job. We have always had the musty basement smell, but the dehumidifier was filling up so we assumed that was the best we could expect.

dry = hooray!

Yes the fan runs all the time but the rooms are the best and I went from the smaller Danby to the larger one; the first finally died after years and years of constant use. I'm by the ocean and the air is sticky all year round!

Work horse

Functions well, takes out an enormous amount of water from the air. Keeps my 1,000 sq. ft. apartment dry. Louder than I'd like, but not louder than would be expected. Good construction.

Great little appliance

Works great on all features, Timer, Full bucket indicator, fan speed, all controls. My previous unit shut off when the proper level of dehumidification was reached and this one does not but this is easily rectified by using the timer. Just use a steady...
