This Danby is a powerful machine and will dry your laundry quickly if hung in the basement. My basement is finished with 5 rooms and basically dry. But out side humidity has a way of sneaking into a dry basement.

The one we put downstairs did a great job so bought a second one for the upper living area. We find that we don't need the AC on as much and the whole house is more comfortable. It really cuts the humidity down.
