Best I've owned

I'm using this dehumidifier to maintain low humidy levels in my second home while I'm away. I installed a separate remote temp/humidity monitor and am pleased to report that this dehumidifier is maintaining the configured humidity level very well....

Auto restart after power failure ; Programmable humidity and fan speed ; Standard threaded hose connector for gravity drainage ; Quality caster wheels ; Relatively compact (compared to other units I've owned) ; Relatively quiet (compared to other units...

Absolute champ of a dehumidifier

I purchased this dehumidifier after extensive flooding this summer put some serious water in my unfinished basement. With 150+ year old wood timbers as the structural supports for the house, I was anxious to get it dry down there. This dehumidifier has...

Reasonably quiet, seems to actually work at about the rate specified, and has a continuous drain (with threading for standard 1" female hose coupler, no less). Seems completely reliable

Continuous drain requires the dehumidifier to be more or less level to function. If it isn't level, it fills the tank instead-- apparently the continuous drain is just a bypass. Likewise, the drain works on gravity, meaning any lift is a no-go, so the...

Tilt for continuous use

Drains the water out of the air! Quiet for size

Needs a slight tilt when using the drain hole on the back for continuous use, otherwise it drains partly into it's bucket and when that thing gets full it shuts off to be emptied

Hey folks, you can refuse shipment when the box is obliterated. If the package is left driver release, you can still call UPS and refuse shipment as long as you don't open it. Once opened, you own it.

Just a comment

Does the job its intended for

I have not tried out the continuous drain mode so I'm not sure how well that works. Overall I would say this is a good buy for the price. It would be perfect if it were $10 or $20 less, but then again, this is the first de-humidifier I have ever...

removes a lot of water from the air ; works great in enclosed spaces with no ventilation ; water reservoir is big enough that this will run for a few days before needing to be emptied ; light enough to be carried, although casters make for easy moment

heats up the room _significantly_, especially in small, enclosed spaces ; doesn't have a fan-only mode, which would be nice to circulate the air (but not dehumidify)

Works and works Well!

Does what its suppose to and that is to pull the moisture from the air. My basement at the beginning is very Damp and uncomfortable. With the Dehumidifier running it drew out buckets of water. and now its a much better living environment. You will know...

These are not really CONS. but just how the dehumidifier is designed and works ; 1) If you leave it on running. The Room itself will be heated. So it can get pretty hot and stuffy if u don't have ventilation ; 2) You gotta hand empty the water...

Good Dehumidifier

I am using it in continuous drain mode. I attached a small washing machine hose that I clipped to drain right into my sump pit in the basement. I tilted it back about a half inch by sitting the front of the machine on a piece of plywood. The water...

Fairly quiet, easy to use, really draws moisture from the air ; Newegg is the best. Arrived next day. Can't beat them for service. Also, Newegg is selling this thing for about $70 less than one of the big chain stores

after one night the retractable handle started to rattle when the compressor started. I had to tape it down to stop the noise

I have purchased 2 of these machines and a friend bought another. All are remarkable in their ability to suck water out of the air.

Very effective ; Quiet ; Easy to empty ; Simple controls

None found so far. Question about durability remains to be seen

Bad shipping**

Newegg customer care is great, I talked to someone the same day i received it and they are issuing an RMA for me.

Fast shipping.... arrived in two days. The product itself, seems to work fantastic. emptied the bucket 3 times in the first day. Dried out the basement great

Well the shipping was fast..... but UPS totally beat the living snot out of the box. I got home and the box was all dented in and one of the corners was completely missing! That being said... It was only shipped in the original box that you'd see on a...

Works Great!

Bought this unit in June 2011, and it has been working great so far. It really removes lots of moisture from the air quickly. Controls are very good. Unit is pretty quiet, especially on low speed. Connection to hose works very well. Very pleased...
