Keystone KSTAP14A

I wouldn't have bought this portable AC if it weren't for the HOA clowns who told me to remove my window unit. I had a Keystone KSTAW06A unit previously, and was forced to remove and sell it. That 6000 BTU AC worked amazingly well for my medium sized...

Blows very cold air ; Top filter is easy to remove and clean ; Remote control has a neat "follow me" feature, a standard feature in all Keystone units I've owned ; Not nearly as noisy as some other ACs I've had ; Easy to setup

HIGH power consumption! Kill-a-watt meter showed that it peaked out right over 1500W at times, averages between 1200-1400W draw ; Window kit kinda flimsy, my window is very high up and is the horizontal sliding type. The window panel is kinda warped...

This unit is a work horse

We purchased this about 9 months ago in the spring for our Florida room. This room is almost all windows. The room does have AC but when we went to a 2 stage AC unit it didn't keep up unless the AC was on full AC mode. The room also faces south. We...

Electronics didn't work

This is a beautiful air conditioner but unfortunately mine must have gotten damaged in shipping . The first time I turned on, I got an error message that the water tank was full and I should drain it. I put the drain tube on and nothing came out. No...

Happy Overall

This air conditioner works well to cool off the rooms we need it to but the hose to the machine that is vented outside, does not stay in place. There should be a way to lock it in place but there is not. It falls off randomly. We set the timer when we...

I like the way it works but I think the connection in the back of it is not good one. I have to keep it up against the wall for the hose to stay in.

They need to come up with a way to make the hose to stay in better. I am having a hard time.

Given the run around

Although the output of cool air is very good, we had issues with the hose and fittings. They would not stay connected to the unit. I made several phone calls to the manufacturer and spent an enormous amount of time on hold. I was promised a new set up...

Works well

This is used in a larger room, approx 400+ sq.ft. It's size and noise are as expected with the larger unit... a little on the high side, but not out of line for what I need it to do. The unit cools our west facing living room effectively and the...

Outstanding

Last year my central HVAC went out. I bought the 12000btu for the room I sleep in. Like an icebox if I want it that cold. I bought another one for a larger bedroom and just installed it. The only extra thing I had to do was cut the guide to fit the...

The product cools as promised but the vent system is weak. The hose slips off both ends frequently.
