The power boost function was great when coming home to a hot home at night, cooling the room down quick smart.

Catastrophically failed only a year out of warranty, I do expect far better than that for any piece of modern electronic equipment.

When working, this is a very good unit that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. However, if you live in an area where temps are hotter, such as western Sydney, I would be inclined to explore other units.
