The Midea is a very bad choice for 10,000 BTU's it will only cool a small area. Its to loud sounds like a Generator it will drive you nuts!! I would go with a window unit if at all possible a 8,000 Btu window air conditioner will work twice as fast...

Easy to install and cools really quick.

 

I was at Sears at tested all portable air conditioners.  This one for the price was the best cooling conditioner.  I highly recommend.

First off, these portable air conditioners will not cool as well as in-window models. They're designed for convenience over performance. So anyone buying these portable should be aware of that. Also, these units tend to be much louder than in-window...
