My husband likes the way it cooled the bedroom, but the sound is too loud and I could not sleep with it on. Noisier than hotel window units. We returned the product after three weeks and hope to find a quieter unit.

I have not had the experience of the other poster. I admit the hose is not great, but if you follow the directions, it should last several years. The two hoses don't have to be used. The second hose takes outside air which supposedly makes the unit...
