Small size

Does not cool well. I have 6000BTU Frigidaire FRA065AT7 which cools significantly better than this unit

If you want a good AC stick with the name brands that make AC's. This was a gamble for me, I knew that going in and took a chance and I lost. Bad decision, never again will I buy a sharp product. Only wish I could return it.

After owning the unit for a year I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. It does not do a good job of cooling. I put it in the window today. It's 71 degrees outside and I set the thermostat to 70, it's been running for about 2 hours and still hasn't...

No wonder discontinued

 

It does throw cool air, however

Does not drain water. The water will inevitably pool in the back and when the fan hits it you get the "scratching" noise. This unit should be recalled for this design "flaw". No wonder it's listed as discontinued now

Too noisy

 

Good cold air flow. Cooling my room very fast

This unit is too noisy even on low fan speed ; Most likely, I will keep it until the end of season, and then it will find its place in garbage ; I was expected better than that from SHARP

Do Not Buy

 

It arrived quickly

It makes alot of noise, and the water does not exit the unit properly. You are stuck to return it. Bad choice

Good AC unit

 

IMO, Sharp makes some great products. I'd buy another if I needed one.

Takes the edge off a humid room very well, even on "low" & energy saving mode. The remote makes it very easy to set the timer to shut off after a few hours

Everyone says it's very quiet. I'm not so sure about that. Mine is pretty quiet but nothing to write home about. It buzzes a little bit when getting started, but overall it's not loud

In Antarctica

 

When it's 100 degrees out there the noise will sound like music to your ears.

I just replaced an old 5000BTU's Gold star with this 10000BTU's Sharp, installation was very easy provided you have someone to help you lift it to the window, this thing is huge and heavy ; I like the touch pad versus the old knob from the old one I...

Now the noise issue, I think it's a little noisy even on Low setting, but not that bad compare to any AC I've seen including the central units
