The horizontal vanes do not change air direction

I didn't want the air to blow straight ahead but wanted to direct it a little to one side. Sharp engineering said there was minimal (read that as none) horizontal flow because they didn't want to interfere with the air flow. There just aren't enough...

Good for MBR
