Loud, Poor craftsmanship

It seems like my unit was banged around by UPS while in transit. I had a local UPS store accept the deliver and the box didn't look too damaged. However it was clear from the plastic housing that something wasn't aligned properly. It runs extremely...

It will cool down a room quickly

cumbersome set up; must use window vents and slotted fitting which cannot be cut easily. EXTREMELY LOUD

Not too shabby

I'm planning to install a foam type filter on the suction from outside. Instead of sucking in every bug who wanders near it

Cools well ; hasn't leaked like everyone who hates it said it would ; good price ; fast shipping

noisey- you definitely know this sucker is running ; fan speed display is kind of confusing when going from high to auto-there is no difference in what is displayed unless you use the remote because it shows you in words not some wannabe hifi volume...

Have a water/shop vac handy

I have bought 5 of these units now, all though Newegg. The first one did not work right out of the box and had to be sent back (excellent customer service from Newegg with that, by the way). The second unit worked great for several months. In that...

Hatas gonna hate

Recently completed the bonus room on my house (250 sq. foot). Although the house A/C blows in the room, it sits on its own in direct sunlight. The room is insulated, but man oh man...when temps are 99+, it gets hot in here. I work in a corner of the...

Price. Easy Assembly. Small outside profile. Blows out cool air. Looks nice. Easily to store away during months I won't need it

Loud (but no big surprise there); expected more cooling power

Decent machine

The remote thing isn't a reason not to buy, just expect it. I'd still buy this unit again, it's a great value.

I have a fairly large bedroom and run a lot of electronics in it. It does a great job cooling down the room and quickly at that ; I like the firmware on the airconditioning (the software that controls the machine). It's fairly smart and will keep you...

The remote's a little funky. It has a lcd status screen that can get out of sync with the unit it's self if it doesn't have line of sight to the air conditioner ; It DOES automatically correct the issue as soon as it gets line of sight and you make...

easy setup ; very effective cooling ; simple to manage remote control ; great price

Do not buy for a humid climate, will require holding tank to be drained in less than 24 hrs ; cannot drain in place, unit needs to be elevated to drain properly else, attach a hose to drain ; noisy fan

Too bad the class action deadline has passed. Lesson learned -- next year, stock up on A/Cs in April, not in July.

Relatively cheap, not very ugly, blows air that's somewhat cooler than the surrounding temperature. It was our last resort; during the July heatwave, A/Cs at all of the local big-box appliance stores were all sold out down to the floor models. This...

It leaks water all over the floor. Draining the water doesn't help; it still leaks. Good thing it's not sitting on a carpet. It's loud enough for me to have to turn it off to watch TV comfortably in the same room. Doesn't cool nearly as well as a 5,000...

Fantastic but loud

The only thing keeping it from a 5/5 are the sticking vents. Probably poor QA on that one part? Otherwise, it's been several months and it's still going strong. For the price I paid, compared to the prices at hardware stores, its' still a great bargain.

Great price- two hoses meaning outside air is used to cool the secondary coil and returns the hot air outside. No inside air is used and keeps the room very cool even in 90 degree weather

It's a little bit loud. I sit about a yard away from it and it drowns out everything. Vents sorta stick so when you turn it on, they won't fully open unless you fiddle with it with your hand. It'd be nice if the vents were also angled higher up so...
