Serve's my purpose well.
I purchased these to provide some downward tilt for my center channel speaker that sits on top of a very large armoire. The acoustic isolation is very helpful as well because it doesn't allow the furniture to resonate.

Good, but not for studio
The Pads help: but they don't isolate. You still have a lot of bass going straight into the desk. I have 2 KRK Rokit 5s on the pads and have my Mackie 824's really isolated. I bought them pads at guitar-center in Boston, not at amazon and I paid USD 30.--...
