Bold design. Powerful speakers. Pleasant frequency response with strong bass that can be dialed back to taste. Remote features full iPod navigation. FM radio with 18 presets

Not iPhone-certified. No Play/Pause button on dock itself. Remote buttons can be overly sensitive. Speakers offer no real stereo separation

Edifier Luna5 encore dock review

Edifier is something of a Chinese success story. Emerging in 1996, it's rapidly become a darling of design-conscious digital audiophiles with a string of design awards and rave reviews from the media as well from ordinary customers.

Attention-grabbing design ; Good sound for the money

Not suited to larger rooms ; Little stereo searation
