Pretty Awesome Deal!

We are in the 21st century people, were these made in the early 90's and held onto until now, or something? Still a good deal though!

For the price it is hard to complain, it has USB, Memory Card Slot and Front 3.5mm input. Plays CD's perfectly and is plenty loud enough, plus has RCA out too. Easy to wire if you can read

I hearby deduct 1 (one) Egg regarding the radio tuner dial, it is the old school dial but it is way harder to turn, and nearly impossible to get it just right so you don't hear static. No presets either for stations but hey was there a such thing when...

Poor Choice

Wouldn't take another one if they offered to me for free with free shipping.

Cheap. SD and USB ports ; I never tried using the radio part enough to know if the analog tuner was as big of a deal as other reviewers made of it. Radio seemed to work the little I tried it. sounded fine to my non-picky ears

Ugly, bright, hard to read (big pixels) display. tiny buttons for things that would be much nicer as knobs (volume, tuner should al) ; NO SHUFFLE for the MP3s...this was the deal breaker for me. I like to throw a bunch of MP3 in and let them...

FM Tuning Problem

I've been reading a lot of the reviews for this product (and thanks to all). Just wanted to pass along a piece of information on the FM tuning problem ; Frequency Modulated (FM) signals tend to "bump" analog tuners off the frequency -- regardless of...

Frustrating

I recently replaced my NCA-675 with the new NCA-692 , because I did not want to complain for the rest of my life! lol I am greatly pleased by the NCA-692 ! The SD card slot has a spring, to hold the card firmly. The radio is digital, and has good...

cheap, for an MP3 player ; SD card slot is easy to use

will not play every MP3 ; radio is unusable. It is analog, and anytime you hit a bump on the road, it changes the frequency a little bit, enough for the radio to stop playing ; SD card slot holds card loosely. Often, a bump on the road would displace...

FAILS as a RADIO

Ok, I bought this for my wife as she had a stock cassette radio in her Corolla and was using a tape adapter to listen to CDs. It was tragic. I bought her this stereo so she could move into the new Millennium. The stereo and wiring harness adapter cost...

Price ; Front Aux Input ; SD Card Input ; USB Input

DOES NOT WORK AS A RADIO ; Lack of radio pre-sets ; Flimsy

It's not that bad...

I installed this radio in my work van so I listen to it 5 days a week while traveling from one call to the next. I have over 400 songs on a 4 gig SD card & because it's music I chose their is not one song that I don't like. With that many songs I never...

Inexpensive, multiple media playback, pretty good sound quality & volume & it actually looks like a more expensive unit than what it actually cost

Many people have already wrote down every possible con but if you consider the cost of the unit what did people expect for a low cost unit with so many options? I think the four eggs are well deserved for what I paid & for what I got! I am glad I...

Acceptable....barely.

I would not buy this unit again. It wasn't bad enough to throw on the pile for our next garage sale, but close. Sound isn't that bad at low volumes, but even used as a head unit it fails because of poor controls and lighting.

Price. Packed well, with acceptable instructions and accessories. It works. Shipped quick. NewEgg service excels as usual

You get what you pay for here (provided it's purchased when on-sale). The display is far to bright for night driving, and there is no adjustment. They list the power in gross watts, rather than RMS. Beware, as you'll really only be getting about 20 RMS...

Glad I didn't pay "Full Price"

I haven't listened to the radio (on purpose anyway) for years now, so I really don't care about the tuner issue, and the product page on Newegg DOES say it is a manual tuner, but I will reiterate the sentiment from the other reviewers and just say,...

Shell Shocker pricing, SD/MMC slot, USB port, front AUX input, blue lighting, optional default/last volume setting (this is nice if you always forget to turn down the volume before you turn off/get out of the car so you don't get blasted when you get...

Manual analog tuner with no presets is just ridiculous in a modern car stereo, volume controls are nearly inaccessible without taking your eyes off the road, terrible file navigation for MP3s (+/- 1 track or 10 at a time, no folder/directory...

Consumer review (newegg.com)

you get what you pay for :)

Its my fault I did not read the specs that there was a manual tuner for AM/FM, never would have thought there would still be such a thing in this day of age. Go Figure, would have given 4 out of 5 eggs otherwise.

cheap, plays mp3's from cd, sd, usb, has aux input, has decent power without distortion

no digital tuner, has a digital display to make you think you have a digital tuner, but you have to constantly adjust the knob and the reception is horrible. If you only want to play cd's, play mp3's or use the aux input, you get a lot of bang for the...
