Halcro is a new-ish company that has made big waves in the industry in a short period of time, including a Stereophile cover that glossed the Australian company's dm58, "The Best Amplifier Ever!" Ahem. How's that for an attention getter? Halcro's...

Philips' Sound Awesome

Philips' Sound Awesome

I bought this Philips Stereo because I accidentally broke one EXACTLY like it by putting 4 CD's in the 3 drawer CD changer. I was happy to find an exact replacement in excellent condition. Now I have my CD player again. AND...as a bonus, the almost...

COMPLETE PIECE OF CRAP

COMPLETE PIECE OF CRAP

Sure, it's got great sound, a slick chasis and cool lighting, but after it ultimately breaks down and eats your CDs (and it will), you're left with nothing more than a pile of useless junk that'll break your heart when you have to throw it away....

Would be 5 stars if the CD didn't SELF DESTRUCT ...

Bought a slightly higher system (MC70, with top-firing woofers, a little more power) for my twin sons, born in 2001. Tried 20 systems at 3 different stereo stores - this one had BY FAR the best sound, best tuner, 40 presets, and the remote made it...

CD changer problem.

Purchased as a gift for my parents. The sound was far superior than all other systems tested, even those costing much more. The remote and controls were difficult to understand initially. The unit worked well and was greatly appreciated for 2-3 years....
