Connector Problems

The dock where the iPod sits has had connector issues, preventing me from playing any music or podcasts from my iPod Touch through the Pioneer system. For a brand new product this is extremely disappointing! Not to mention, I originally ordered black...

Pioneer XW-NAV1

Pioneer stacks enough into its latest XW-NAV1 iPod dock to make it a worthy mid-range contender, although its video output options could be better.

Integrated DVD ; Good audio quality ; Shielded for iPhone use ; Good remote control ; Rips CDs to USB directly

Slow with large USB flash drives ; Doesn't output iPod video over HDMI ; Most functions rely on having a nearby screen ; FM only, not DAB

The XWNAV1 is Pioneer's iPod dock answer to home theatres in a box with an integrated DVD player and HDMI output.

Review: Pioneer XW-NAV1

We find out how appealing Pioneer's XW-NAV1 is as an all-in-one room entertainment system that comes with an iPhone dock.

Integrated DVD; good audio quality; shielded for iPhone use; good remote control; rips CDs to USB directly

Slow with large USB flash drives; doesn't output iPod video over HDMI; most functions rely on having nearby screen; FM radio only

Pioneer stacks enough into its latest XW-NAV1 iPod dock to make it a worthy midrange contender, although its video output options could be better.

Good midrange

I like on this speaker very nice midrange reproduction - clear and gutsy, zesty. Bass lines are not tight as this one doesn't have bass reflex enclosure. But still bass goes well deep to around 40Hz.
